Yes, that?s the modeller?s and collector?s problem. ?:D
Buying stuff for completeness rather than quality ?:L
I?ve kept myself from the Voss prow ships like the Falchoin and from the Vengeance variants.
They are interesting ships and models, but I find them too ugly...
(But I have to get some Forgeworld SM escorts...) ? ?

Hmmm Mentor I have to agree with you, but the way I think about it, each Imperial ship is utterly different in looks and character (look at the art in the BlueBook for examples) so even ships of the same class are going to be slightly different shapes... some of them are over 10,000 years old of course!!

Well, I got my copy over the weekend, and I have to say that I dont the new ship either. I have never much cared for the A3 ships stats, but now that they are semi-official, I may put together an Oberon, using the 'real' Imperial prow and original battleship model.

It worked for me!

Go up to the post with the link called Apocalypse.

Click it

In the page should be two pics, one called apoc1.jpg and the other apoc2.jpg!

Try it

Cheers

Chris

Yeah it should work... :L

I've been using my Apocalypse quite a bit- it proved quite effective in a recent battle- after destroying a few cruisers, it then proceeded to distract the two Despoilers and a cruiser of my opponents fleet, allowing me to get the rest of my fleet together (we were playing Escalating Engagment), and then pound them and his other ships to bits... :D

OK, now I have seen the ship I can make a comment or two!
I like the prow of the ship, it makes it stand out from the other two battleships in the Imperial Fleet. If it had the normal prow then it would simply be a Retribution class with lances!

From the photos on the GW mailorder page I noticed it doesn't have a eagle or angel figure sitting atop the bridge, looked strange at first but at least it won't be kept getting knocked off all the time (Like with my ships! :()

Not a bad mini though.

Yeah, I agree with what you said about the prow- on my conversion I painted the prow red to make it look different to the Retribution, and am considering cutting off the little eagle head from the prow top and replacing it with a small skull.... :)

Hi,

I seemed to have a problem starting the BFG mag subscription from 13 onwards and could only do it from 15 onwards. I have managed mag 13 but it seems that 14 has been around a little while and wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction to get the BFG14. I have tried the previous sources where I got the BFG13 but they havent got anything so is there anyone who could help so I can see the new stuff you are all speaking about.

Thanks for the help in advance

Doug

Have you tried Games Workshop Mail Order, UK? They should have copies.

Or, more likely, they found some down the back of a desk somewhere. Anyway, good news.

I too have found it very difficult to get the last issues of the BFG mag 13/14,they simply do not seem to have appeared in my local store, and mail order is out of stock, a real pain as i wanted to see the profiles for the new Armageddon ships...

Well, the original stats are here:

Armageddon BC

I dont know if the stats have changed at all, but if they have they are not much different.

(And, welcome to the EpiComms boards. )
