Look, everyone! It's Titivillus!

And: SG reseller? Hmmm.

All the US stores i have contacted dont supply specialist games stuff. So any recommendations of a reliable store in the USA or Canada would be appreciated.

For Canada, try: http://www.heavysupport.com/store/ The owner, Matt, is the fellow I mentioned in my previous post.

You can also use GC Minis (http://www.gc-minis.com/), who have a larger discount, but they are not always reliable.

Based on what Matt at Heavy Support said, if you are are in NZ or Aus, you will want to order directly from the US and not Canada. He said that (and this is a quote):

"CanadaPost is one of the worst international shippers in the world. We either have to ship 4-8 week ground for like $30-40 shipping on most orders or spring for 1-2 week for $70-80, and that is for small orders. I appreciate your recommendation but I would recommend to your friends a US based retailer if they want their stuff quickly."

I can vouch for how slow and expensive Canada Post is, so if you can, try US options first (unless you are in the US, at which point you could use Heavy Support because he ships to the US for a flat $9).

GC-Minis can be very slow, and very hard to reach. It's an impressive discount, but it carries a price.

Definitely. I have had a few order arrive with only a few things I requested because the other items were not available, but I was never told. They also take between 4-6 weeks for things to arrive in Canada (let alone internationally). Heavy Support usually has my stuff to me in about 6 or 7 days. I would always recommend Heavy Support over GC minis (especially in Canada where you can get free shipping).

That was my reaction. I thought SG stuff was direct-only?

I know GC-Minis sells SG, so another one doesn't surprise me.

Hell, it pleases me to no end. :)

Speaking of the great materials change-over, I placed a decent sized Epic order yesterday to counter my wife's massive shopping spree this weekend (an eye for an eye, I say!), and I got this response today:

"We are currently packing the order you placed with Games Workshop. However; one or more of the item(s) you ordered are currently out of stock and will be on the list that follows. This is a list of all items on back order and when they are due to arrive into our warehouse.

The item(s) have been cancelled off your order, and you will not be charged for them. Please reorder them at your convenience. The remaining products on your order will be shipping soon! Feel free to contact us by email or phone at 1-800-394-4263 if you have any questions at all. "

Looks like my Land Speeders got cancelled, so I'm curious as to (A) how much they're going to cost after the price increase this weekend, and (B) if I feel like re-ordering them again, if they'll still be metal, resin, something other material, or straight up discontinued.

If I ordered something and they couldn't supply part of it despite advertisiing it, I would want to retain the right to revise the original order, or cancel the whole thing.

One of my friends had that experience with Tau just before they canned the line, they sent only pieces of order and not other bits and just said he wouldn't be charged. What use is half an army?? He wouldn't have ordered it in that case.

I would definitely be more irritated if I was ordering a full army, and not bits and pieces. I had read on Dakka that people were given the option to wait, or cancel and ship what was available, but it appears they've given up on that.

In other news, their legal disclaimer at the bottom of my order e-mail was 5 times as long as my order was.

I ordered a last-ditch Epic order when I heard the metals were on the way out, and got it pretty quick. Unfortunatly, the Cobra was missing the gun. I didn't notice it before a week or so had gone by, when I opened the blister, but my local store was helpful and ordered up a replacement.

However, it's now a month since they ordered it and it still only shows 'order is being processed and should ship within 24 hours' on the webpage...

When this thread first came up I also put in a large order of epic metal. I did not receive any of the Imperial Guard Character Packs that I ordered (5). When I called they also told me they had been removed from my order because they were not currently available, but that I should order in a few weeks to try again. Yesterday I ordered another epic batch and this time the Imperial Guard Character packs shipped. At least that is what the GW email states....so I guess they really were just waiting on a restock.

Let us know if they are metal or resin when they arrive.

Here's an interesting article regarding pricing in Australia. It's not GW related directly but it is an interesting read in regards to aussie pricing.

Someone at Warseer claimed that GW asked stores to send back all their metal stock so they could melt them down and use them for SG minis. Take with a grain of salt, of course.
