Thanks! I'll see if I can post a closer view of the changed hatches.

How far away do you take photos from for army shots and single models? I guess you have a decent camera + light?

It varies. typically I'll shoot from about 6" away for a single model and focus to fill the viewfinder. For lighting, I use my regular studio lights that are on the painting table and a floor lamp as a fill light. I'l also use a sheet of white foam board as a reflector to bounce some of the light down on top to even things up. the end result are some fairly high res images that I archive for future reference.

Here's the updated shot of the the macharius. I didn't have time to reshoot it so a zoomed in shot from the full army pic will have to do.

Same goes for the treads having pretty shallow detail making it hard to pick everything out.

Tread details need more relief, yes? A lot of the faces there are around .2 to .3mm, so I should take that into consideration when I make the loyalist Ellogram treads.

I think it's the shrinkage from the metal casting that's the issue. The resin versions I used for the minorus were perfect and the treads turned out much cleaner than with the metals in the shots up there. If you compare the two you can easily make out the difference. Perhaps a slight exaggeration of details to account for the shrinking if metals are being considered would work.
