I heard on the Yahoo BFG list recently, that the new BFG Catalouge is out.
Anyone here seen it?
If so, how much, and is there any interesting new stuff?! :)

Yeah, I saw that over at the BFG-list as well. They said it had the new Apocalypse in it, Falchions and Ork Battleships.

It also had some of the Tau in their as well as a conversions page.

But other than this I have no idea how much it costs of when it will even come out in the UK!!

Cheers

Chris

That doesn't really surprise me, the Fanatic newsletter is normally written a few months in advance.

however, if the 2003 catalogue is as "good" as the 2002 one then it is a waste of money to get! maybe this time they will renember to add the Forge Word minis to the catalogue!

-Got to agree with you Blacksnotling- when I got it, I was most confused (and annoyed )with the lack of FW models- especially for ?2!!

The new one should be rather better value tho- it will have lots of new ships in, hopefully FW too.. :oo ...and this "conversions page" Chris mentions- is there any more info?

Have a look on the BFG list. Plus I don't think ?2 was that bad, but it wasn't what I expected. I wanted the bits of ships, not pics I had already seen.

Cheers

I saw this today. It is soooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad I suggest no-one buys it.

The cover is the same as the last one, except it says 2003.

The conversion page just has some conversions that have been on the web for months on the US BFG site

The only Tau ships in their are badly painted.

The only good thing is that their are some new SM escorts coming out! They have the same names as the FW ones, but are cheaper!!

And their is no FW stuff in there either  :(

Cheers

Chris

... Exceedingly poor news indeed, I have to say... :(
They could have at least done a new cover... and still no FW!!

Where did you see it Chris? GW?
...New Sm Escorts.. good I 'spose, at least they won't be so prohibitivly expensive now... are they the DA ones that are in WD this month by any chance?

I saw it in GW today. The new escorts are totally new. They are not the DA ones in WD. They look different from the FW ones.

Cheers

I think, if memory serves me correctly, that they were ?6 a pack, with 4 of them in the smaller packs(the cobra styled ones) and 3 in the others.

It must be GW trying to get SM's to the masses and make them different from the Imperial Fleet.

Cheers

Mmm.. yeah, but they won't will they.. :;): ...

And yeah Chris- its because there are loads of 40k Marine players out there, and I guess they all don't want to pay FW prices for their escorts if they are starting a BFG fleet.... :)
