Wondering what to do for Vespid. I know one guy who uses Swooping Hawks but I'm not sure I want to do that. I considered the DRM Andrayada jump pack guys and the Microworld Games pixies but neither of them really rang my bells either. Any other ideas?

Depends on whether you want them now or don't mind waiting - I believe someone is planning to make a suitable proxy in time.

They dont suck....body and weapon are ok'ish, and the head is actually pretty good, but the wings are too big and too mechanical looking for mine.

I guess these guys are pretty comon on the battlefield at the moment
Image
but I only use them as Vespids cause I swap all my proxies with TAV
and do not want to paint up even more
I think there are better fitting models as vespids
maybe you can use the NIDS gargoyle wings combinde with another model
cheers

Hmmm, I guess if you shorten the gun and get rid of the 3 hemispheres on the back they would look ok.

I did ask about a suitable proxy but no information was forthcoming :)

I don't know what your house flies look like, but ours a) don't look like a Vespid, b) are too bloody big, c) are hard to catch without smushing them, and d) would be a complete bugger to paint.

Flying ants however............

I had a similar idea about using a wood louse as some kind of prehistoric armour plated thing only yesterday! I surprised myself by deciding against it on the grounds of bad taste. Must be losing my edge... ;D

That reminds me, I still haven't done anything with that squirrel skull I found last summer...

Those DRM would be pretty good with minimal modification, I'd think.

I once had the idea to make goblin spider riders for warmaster with those baby jumping spiders. Can't get more authentic looking than that eh! :D

If you fed them you wouldn't even need to kill them, although you might need to glue them down to something to stop them running off with their goblin riders...

;D That would be awesome!

I really need to learn to mount insects. On mounting board, with pins, you... oh never mind, I''ll shut up while I can.

I hear animal advocates rumbling somewhere. But just so Stingray doesn't feel alone...

A few weeks back I had an argument with my sister-in-law who was upset that I was threatening to shoot the squirrels that keep ravaging my garden. She threatened to call PETA. My response?

"You can invite PETA out. I don't have to lead them as much as I do the squirrels."
