I'm wanting to make a stormraven for my blood angels and wondering what size I should make it.

I'm thinking of making it so I can hang one of the dreadnoughts off the back, but think that would make it too big.

Any thoughts?

Measure a 40k stormraven, divide the size by 5, and that's how big it should be. :-)

problem is that involves touching or at least being in the physical presence of that hideous monstrosity

I guess it also depends on whether you have GW Thunderhawks or Forgeworld models... hopefully the latter if you want to hang a dreadnought off the back.

Just eyeball it off the GW site, they have been kind enough to upload good images of the sprues, with that you can do pretty much anything.

Thanks for the comments. I've decided not to hang a dread off the back, and yes, the Thunderhawk bricks are a good size to base it on.

I'm currently also trying to do a Thunderhawk transporter that I can use magnets to fit two plastic rhinos under... its massive! Currently 9 cm long so far.

Thanks for the link. Wish they had something like that for the Thunderhawk Transporter too.

Today i did hold an assembled and painted Stormraven in my own hands. In real life it looks quite nice. I had to surpress the urge to make swooosh noises...:D

Sir, vindicare assassins have been put into position, all we need is the 'go'.

i like to call that thing the thunderchicken , i keep seeign it trying to flap its wings screaming we bring death. and the rest of the battlefield laughing at it till it explodes due to the pilot being too ashamed to fly it.. just my opinion.

The only objections i had with thin the tail and that the wings grow narrow where they are attached to the hull.
