So, i have a question for those that have this army.. part of it is fluff due to the fact that there is very little that i own on the knightworlds other than what is listed in the second edition Titan legions book.
Does an army contain different units from houses for example, house krast, hyperion, ect. or would they be all from one household. I figure you could play it either way or paint it either way. I was just curious as to how it would be done. I could also see multiple houses on one planet producing their own knight chassis and coming together for war to defend their planet, or being rounded up to support the Mechanicus titans on another planet (call it a crusade).

The other way is that i'm seeing a Frank Herbert Dune model, where different houses rule different planets and the paint scheme is homogeneous and not painted different for different units.
What say ya'll fellow knightworld players? I am prithee to your idea's

It's really up to you what you want it to represent.

What Zombo said. :)

There really is no wrong answer. I personally will be painting mine in a singular base colour (dull orange), with some minor variations, probably on a left or right kneepad, to represent households, to represent the last of the nobles of Gryphonne. But that's because I suffer from a severe lack of creativity when it comes to painting. My Marines will be painted in the same colors.

But I could definitely see the attractiveness of multicolored pennants and schemes charging across the table. But I don't have the hand to do it.

Here's a very nicely painted Knight World army I faced in a tournament last year, for possible inspiration:

Linky becuse I can't figure out how to resize an image in this dialect of bbcode :-\

There's more pictures of the individual knights in this thread.

As others have said, you can pretty much do what ever you want. I'm painting all my Knights in the same scheme, blue and red, with different patterns for each type of Knight. If you want inspiration, try to find the issue of White Dwarf when Knights were first introduced. I have it somewhere, but I'm not sure of the exact issue. I would guess it's around issue #120.

that issue is way out of my range. the only issues i have are in the late 169-180's, right during the run they did the cruddy game of "Epic-40,000 Nightmare's in a box" though at least they revamped the miniature line when they did that edition. but thanks to speaker to machines, though i don't read danish, or was that Norwegian(all i know is that it was a Scandinavian language, GO NORSE)..but the pics were a a great idea. Also , my titans are already blue red and gold and i didn't want to repeat that in a smaller form all over again. And eventually I'll have more than three other players in Houston Texas, and only one of them is also present on this list, (Jimbo one and only). Too many lists to play with, So little time to play. and not enough people to regurlary play with..

It's danish - you can get Google's translation of the thread here. Mildly amusing ("objectives" gets translated as "lenses"), but the meaning gets across, mostly.
