My though exactly. I never find it easy to have regularity when working with styrene sheet, but seeing such an amount of perfect pieces...

I think Apoc just failed his Turing test.

Well i was going to paint some chaos squats...then i decided to do some chaos navy instead...then more marines...then maybe back to the catatchans? nah, that made too much sense, so i started something new instead.

Not entirely sure of the organisation of these, would 10 be a company? (SHT and leman russ seem to operate at differnt level,s dunno where machs come in in that)

Turrets are separate so that i can choose to use special turrets for command vehicles as needed

this will now be my colour scheme for krieg and 'regular' IG. As with the marines, i am trying to rationalise my army plans to represent multiple lists from one set of painted figs.

I have also painted the first (of three) assault formation for my marines, forgot to take pics though

Wow! Stunning! How did youi get the rusted/weathered effect?

I'm still undecided how i will paint my Krieg vehicles :( but the Infantry will be green.

Weathering is pretty much all chalk pastels.

My Krieg were going to be speed done grey/black cammo with spray paints and masking, but it never really went as well as i hoped as i could never get the contrast between the stripes how i wanted with 'out of the can' colours.

Excellent detail with the mud/rust on the tanks. This is going to be one really nice looking force.

Impressive looking formation! I would hate to be on the other end of the battlefield & see that rolling up.

Nice attention to detail & the weathering is great. :)

Yes, after painting but then test them with your spray varnish before using. Spray varnish can have a big effect on them so test first and if necessary apply them after varnish.

Also, the base green on those tanks is charadon granite...bit of an odd colour really

Another fairly productive painting weekend :) but again not with the ToEG stuff i *should* be doing :D anyway, hellblades and helltalons, pretty much just dry-brushed over black spray with male-chicken-pits. These are an important first for me, as i have never painted a complete formation of aircraft (or AA :P ) before.

2 tallons, 6 blades. General/non-faction specific colour scheme so that i can use them with all of my chaos armies.

Still need to finish off the plasticard harbinger from last years ToEG as well though ??? Image
While i was pleased with it at the time i know i could do much better now, the lack of detail is bugging me.
