These are the latest finished models for this month.

That is 7 stands of Terminators and I still have to add the Skull Lord Stand (hoping to be done this week)

So far that is 525 points completed this month.

I did. They looked so gay and happy however that I went back and painted them red again.

Ok, maybe not "gay and happy", but it really did not fit into the dark and blood-soaked army feel I was going for.

After about 5 different attempts (including gold, silver, brass, black etc), I settled on what you see now. I am happy with it and it is yet another step closer to getting a completed and painted army; which is a rarity for me in any game system unless I buy it painted... :)

FB, did you try dulling down the gold on the shoulder pad rims with GW Badab Black? It worked a treat for mine and took out the "shiny happy people World Eater" feel - gave it a darker edge (ha! literally)

Great guns by the way!

Great inspiration stuff!

I vote for dull brass rims as well. It helps to break up the "red only" monotony.

I would go for dull brass or possibly black, but I think the all-red does not make them look as good as they could.

I will try it again and maybe get up a pic. Not confident however... :P

If you want a good 'dull brass', perhaps try a mix of gold and Tin Bitz (50:50), highlighted with the base colour plus Chainmail Silver (again, 50:50). It gives quite a nice dark feel without needing a wash or much effort. You can still wash it afterwards, of course, but I find it give a good crisp colour without being gaudy.

I will try this because I still have that image of gold on my terminators - made me want to get a disco ball out :D

It's alot more work, but definitely worth trying. It is also something I can do after the fact so I will attempt to finish the Skull Lord first and then get back to this.

Just finished the Skull Lord base.

There was a fair bit of conversion work which I finally got finished before the end of this week - which makes me happy.

Note: I have already fixed the 'grey' that is on Barkor's shoulder pad - just could not be bothered taking yet another pic of him :P

This takes me up to 600 points for the month of September

I have not forgotten about this. I am still into the challenge, yet now I am playing catch-up. I have decided to get all the modelling done first and then set myself up to paint things.

Presently (although not World Eaters - I have a tournament coming up) I am making:

2x Death Wheels
1x Decimator
1x Obliterators
2x Dreadclaw Markers

I am also working on:

World Eaters Possessed formation
Hellblades
Daemon Prince

I have waiting in line:
4x Doom Blasters
4x Cannons of Khorne

So I may get something presented for this month, otherwise I will give December a good bash to meet the points to be on par again.
