I thought that at first, however, it might just be looking a little washed out from the very bright direct lighting?

Still, I think a bit of weathering (specially on the nail), and some battle damages would make it look even better.

My mind wanders back to doing the Chosen and I have to keep my initial theme in mind for these guys, hence a visual reminder is needed:

I have been very lazy

This has made me feel guilty, so I have just gone and glued chains to all the Slaughterfiends. Next steps:

1. Paint the chains
2. Give them all a wash
3. Paint up the bases & attach Slaughterfiends with a wire to help keep poses that I set for them

Let's see if I can get at least that done by this week

Finally finished the chore for August (to a point that I am happy with for now).

- 3x World Eater Besreker retinues (24 stands): 825 points
- Bloodpack: 400 points
- 2x Slaughterfiend transports: 150 points
- 10x Lesser Daemons (bloodletters): 200 points

- 1575 points and not really competitive just yet...

Now I am just trying to work out what to paint next. I think I may do the Terminators as that will buy me time to think about the other units that will require some more time.

haha. Funny you should say that because I keep watching any auctions that come up on Berserkers and sometimes keep bidding on them, however I am very aware that if I do not allow people to gain these models, the World Eaters list will not get the playtests. So any extras I get from now on (if any) or stuff that I have left over, will go to trades or just hand outs to people who will support the list.

Just have to make sure I do not give away what I need.

Has anybody done the math on component pricing for the Chaos sprue? It's probably the only production sprue with a lot of high value parts on it. Might they be worth to purchase, split and sell separately on Ebay. I think I saw somebody do this a few years ago when the sprue was released.

On a different topic, how many WE/Berzerler stands would you consider necessary for a decent 3k WE force? I already have a decent sized Khorne Black Legion and LatD contingent so I think I could probably puzzle together a dedicated WE force if not for lack of Berzerkers. I think I can scrape together 16 Berzerker stands (with Rhinos for all), 8 Biker, 6 Terminators, 8 Juggers, 2 Defiler/Slaughterfiends, 1-2 of each of the Daemon Engines, a Lord of Battle, 2 Greater Brass Scorpions and 4 Blood Slaughterer. How many more Berzerker stands would I need in my opinion?
