The weather's nice today so I can do some spraying, which has let me finish off a few things. First up, a Tomb SpiderStalker:

I also just finished repainting an old Mk I Warlord, which is part of an Honour Guard Battle Group for my infamous Warmonger titan:

Great tomb stalker! I've started making my own before but i'm still holding out for jonlukes version. Have you considered some sort of crystal on the back like the concept art?

I did, but I wasn't able to 1) find a suitable crystal to use or 2) summon up the courage to do serious damage to the miniature in order to make space for it (you'd probably have to carve huge chunks out of the rear carapace, and that would require serious power tools I think).

I think i would have been tempted to use a plastic destroyer body, which would allow you to hack away at it easily. Have you thought about blunting its toes? im a bit worried it would sink in a bit on those points.

Very nice work, Jodrell. I really like the color scheme for your Titans.

I did think about the destroyer, but I'd still have to buy a Tomb Spyder to get the legs, so I stuck with just the one model.

Didn't really think about the toes on the legs. They're just superglued to the base, which is probably not going to last. If it keeps on falling off the base, I might file them down and pin them.

Army Painter platemail primer over everything, then I masked off the carapace and sprayed with Chaos Black. A couple of coats of Devlan Mud (I use that stuff by the bucket load) on the metal bits, and drybrushing the black areas, starting with black mixed with a little Goblin Green, all the way up to pure Goblin Green.

I used GW gloss varnish on the areas under the decals, and then Dull Cote over everything to seal it and give the decals a matt finish.

JL was, before RL got in the way.

As if RL is more important than feeding the appetites of the Epic community; I call it lack of commitment. ;)
