Assuming the little dudes are 6mm tall, the capacitor truck is approximately the size of a rhino, and the main vehicles are chimera wide and two-chimera long.

I may modify the design to use a ball-and-socket connector rather than the cylindrical connector.

Presumably the vehicle has its own compliment of infantry for close-in protection. The smaller gun is presumably for air defense, taking advantage of the radar/scanning equipment on one end of the assembly.

Power is probably provided by the drive trains in the main vehicles. The assembly stops, power is shunted from movement to the capacitor vehicle. When the capacitors are charged, the power flows back into the main weapon.

I am also inspired to make fuel trucks, coolant trucks, and possibly radiator trucks.

Ball-and-socket makes sense to me, then it can go up and down hills without some wacky central articulation going on.

I think a post and clevis might look better than ball and socket, I'll see if I can dig up a picture of what I mean...

Minor progress.

My intention is for the carriers to be separate vehicles, such that you can reposition the assembly into single file, firing position, etc., during play.
