Correction: Warp capable flight was taken away from IG and titan legions. Space marines are the Rapid Deployment force, so they retained their fleets but were broken into smaller parts.

To add to the confusion, I had to refresh my memory and did some research. ?A Roman Legion was 10 Cohorts, about 4800-6000 men. A Cohort is 6 Centuries, so about 600 men. ?And a Century is of course, 80-100 men. ?Plus, a Maniple is 2 Centuries. ?So you can see how the Legion does reflect modern military organizations to a point, and was somewhat of a precursor ...

Hi!
Ah! If they didn't take away the transport then they really needed to reduce the size of the chapter. Its not only the size but the rapid deployment of them that made the Heresy possible.

Hi!
I thought the fluff stated they DID take away thier independant transport and need the Imperial Navy to ferry them about?
Then again GW changes fluff like underwear so what do I know...
