The below link should help.

Greg

Only the titan missile is shown on EpiCollector ... and all those metal WarLord Mk.II weapons pretty much "mirror" the Mk.I Plastic designs ... I've had them all in my hands, but sold of the ones I had no use for to Doug/DRM over a decade ago. And to muddy the waters, G/W changed some of the weapons names of the old plastic weapons when they made the Mk.II metal versions ... Like Defense Laser to Volcano Cannon ... :-\

Thats what it loooks like to me too.

Yeah, I thought so too. There is a CCW Head on the epicollector site, but I bet someone has a picture of it on a model....

Legion 4? ::) ::) ::)

Wish I did ... but based on my L4 SoTR ... Titans are mobile, heavily armed & armored weapons platforms ... close combat and short range weapons have no place on my Titans(so sold them off to buy other more useful Epic stuff !)... In the L4 SoTR, Titans move on to the table, sit behind some cover if possible, and open fire on their biggest threat - Other Titans. My Titans pummel the enemy Titans, until they are burning useless heaps. To gain "Titan Superiority" so the ground forces, which the Titans are there to support, not the other way around, can manuever without taking fire from enemy Titans. Much like Air Superiority ... If your Titan shoots at anything but another Titan it is a wasted shot. The only time a Titan shots at anything else is it has not other targets (and failed to move into postition to shoot at another Titan) ... or the enemy Titans have been nullified. But usually by that time one side Titans are smoking hulks and the others remaining Titan(s) are literally on their last leg ... ;D Lesson over, only amateurs mount close combat weapons on Titans instead of long ranged deadly weapons ... :D ;) Pics of most of my Titans - http://s9.photobucket.com/albums/a53/23 ... ?start=all Note : NO C/Cbt weapons ... ;D

Out of interest, how do you feel about modules such as the corvus assault pod? using titans effectively as massive armoured siege towers to deploy other units into battle/onto hostile fortification?

Sorry for going off-topic O-man :)

I made a Titan as a Heavy Assault Titan ... I think it has it's uses ... If you have no choice but to clear a structure, obstacle, etc. ... But note his carapace ... he is heavily armed regardless - D-Laser & Plasma Cannon ... Image Excuse the pic, it's an old one I took ... and he must have been moving ... ;D ;)

I made very good experience with closecombat/short ranged Titans against NIDS
sometimes combined with Knights very effective
I also think about a short ranged(gatling laser, melta cannons, weapon head) titan with a fire control center

But most of my warlords are for heavy , long-ranged fire support
while my Reavers and warhounds are configurated as close to medium fire support

My favourite Titan from 2nd edition was my siege Titan equipped with: Corvus Assault Pod, Corvus Head, Wrecker, MLRS, Inferno Cannon and Carapace Multilasers. It was absolute murder in urban scenarios (especially the scenarios from the Citadel Journal 2).

The good thing about long ranged weapons ... usually ... you don't have to worry about C/CBT ... You kill anything at long range before they get into C/CBT ... ;D

I think generally the Warlord/Reaver are too slow for close combat in game terms. The CCW is a useful psychological weapon to ward off CC from things you'd rather not face in CC. The main caveat is Bio-Titans that are faster and can seriously threaten other Titans in higher class/point terms.

Back to the problem at hand.
Las Burner/Plasma Destructor/Support Missile(?)
Corvus Arm/Plasma Cannon/CC Head
Power Fist/Laser Blaster (aka Triple Turbolaser)/Inferno Gun
Last one I'm not sure, If it's single barrelled then the Volcano cannon but if it's double barrelled then Turbolaser Destructor
