Thank you. They are actually flamers from the defiler kit I am using for a knight for 40K. The backpack is just a standard incubi backpack, I used the Drazahar backpack on one of my 40K incubi.

Greetings all from the Dark City. OK, what I have here is a proof of concept design to replace the ravagers in my list. The model is on the ugly side, but that is OK. It is intended to resemble a Knight in size, yet function as a ravager. My intent is to create this in 3D to have printed. This is a very ambitious project for me so this could take some time. I have included both a Revenant and my Tormentor titan for scale.

C&C welcomed as always.

Wow, did not realize it has been almost a year since I worked on this project. Anyways, with the new DE kits out I decided it was time to start on the pair of Vessel of Pains that are in my initial list. Using the new reaver jetbikes as a source I present my Vessel of Pain MkII.

And a comparison shot with the front canopy of the original reaver jetbike used on the VoP Mk I.

I still need to add the main weapons, but I do have a few ideas floating around in the ole brain-pan so hopefully it won't take me too long to complete.

As always C&C is welcomed and desired.

The new Reavers are so sexy. My first reaction when they came out was "That'd make a great VoP!" Of course, spending $35 on an army I don't play is loony, but yours look just as good as I suspected they would. Top job!

Nice.

What Spectrar said... only I've been stockpiling the minis to build a DE force. The new Reavers struck my fancy for exactly this use. Thanks for the example.

I too disagree that it is too big. The size can't be waaaay off but it could be large and fragile for it's size. I like it. Let me know if you need help with the other pieces as I have some Evil Space Elf proxies for infantry and vehicles and such.

GREAT job so far!

Thanks all! I was worried about the size at first, but doing an up close comparison with the MkI reaver body I think it will end up being a bit shorter than the design that has inspired this build. What throws it off is the fact that there is only an upper body panel for the MkII and an upper and lower body panel for the MkI.

Moscovian, I will let you know about the proxies, I am not sure if I want to tackle all of the vehicles I will need so this just might prove to be a good option for me.

I actually worked up a BoP for mass production that is strikingly similar (same parts used). I'll try to post them.

My VoPs are the new Hellions w/ extra guns and blades so we're all on the same page :)
