Impressive fortifications & the Bloo Orkz came out great! :)

That flatbed Battlewagon conversion has lots of potential and it's a really nice design. You could throw Boyz in the back some AA, or even a Kannon.

You have enough tractors there to start building sub-divisions & strip malls! :o

Or the... let's see... 80 pieces of fortifications I'm going to need at a minimum. ::)

Yeah.. All the Forfications can seem a bit daunting... I'm not looking forward to trying to make all my nurgle ones.

All but finished with the Siegers! Noticed I forgot the windshields and headlights on the last 4 Bruennhildes, but otherwise complete.

3525 points, not including the Fortifications, which are next on the list.

Then on to the remainder of the Orks, and maybe some more Steel Legion, if I have the time.

Really great job on your Siegers there sir! :)

That's a lot of Brunnhildes you've got there.

Oh, and I really like your battlewagon conversions - they're great!! SO much better than the ones I did for my Orks. :D

Credit where credit's due: the battelwagon is a poor imitation of Ghudra and MoKs versions.

The gunwagon was mostly the outcome of me asking what the heck I was going to do with all the extra barrels from my Otterware.

Little side project. Lordgoober has asked me to rearm (no pun intended) a couple of Slasha Gargants he got without weapons. One he has, though I need to do a CCW for it. This is the second, though I need a right Soopagun arm.

Image
Soopagun. Yes, it's a cut down Autocannon.

Image
Gargant CCW. The blade is from the Boyz sprue.

Image
The arms are pinned so as to be interchangable.

OK, a little change back to scenery for a minute. My gaming group have been begging me to do a specific objective for our expo game Saturday at the Chicago Bunker. So without further ado or speculation as to the innards of their brains, I give you one of the most discreetly frequented establishments on Lombardius Prime, "The Hedgehog's Song". Even left a Trojan from some of the clients out back...

I'll slap some color on it this week, and won't ever have to hear about it again... ::)

I'm starting Mongoose's Victory at Sea. A good, simple ruleset (6 pages for the core rules!), and good play from the game I've had so far. I've gotten $45 or so in Figurehead 1/6000 IJN ships. Enough for a good sized game.

Image
The Takao-class CA Chokai, along with an Aoba-class cruiser, probably the Aoba herself when I get her tagged up. Seriously simple paint scheme. I'm especially happy with the look of the water. A couple coats of Asurmen Blue wash over white undercoat, with some Skull White drybrush on the waves.

For scale, each of these is on a 20x40mm base (Warmaster sized). They're tiny!

More progress!

Half the ships are finished. Four Kagero DDs, both Aoba CCs, both Furutaka CCs, and a Takao CA.

I need to complete two more Kageros to complete my basic 5pt Raid fleet. Left to do after those will be two more Kageros, three more Takaos and both Shokaku CVs.

I'm on a Victory at Sea kick right now, so I thought I'd show my plog is still alive and kicking, if slightly wet...

Heres a two part overview of my current fleet - the IJN. This is a cut, paste and re-intro of a post to another forum (Mongoose), so there is some technical babble interspersed... sorry in advance. Due to budget constraints among my friends and I, we chose Figurehead's 1:6000 range of ships, and have been pleased overall with the models.

Image

My destroyer flotilla. The fighting core of my fleet; armed with Long Lances, they handily take care of anything from opposing DDs to capital ships. Their major weakness appears to be torpedo bombers, which can ignore the very high Target scores they acheive at full speed. 6 Akitsukis, 8 Shiratsuyus, 8 Kageros.

Image

My Cruisers. The Agano CLs act as destroyer leaders, since they are effectively 9 Damage DDs with 3 twin 6" turrets to boot. The profusion of 8" armed Japanese CAs means they can fight on even terms with anything but a capital ship or pocket battleship at range, and have heavy Long Lance armament for closer engagement. 2 Aoba, 2 Furutaka, 4 Takao, and 3 Myoko. The Ashigara awaits painting.

Image

My capital ships. The Fusos and Ises are dated, but still effective with their 6 twin 14" broadsides. The Shokakus are excellent fleet carriers, or rather they would be if I had any aircraft! The Yamashiro had to be repainted due to the varnish getting messed up (I think the gloss varnish hadn't dried completely when I applied the spray matte varnish), and so it has no nameplate until I get my printer fixed/replaced. The Yamato and Mushashi (both as of 1941) are the remaining vessels not painted in my IJN.

Now for some close-ups.

The DDs are based on 20 x 30mm plasticard. CCs are on 20 x 40mm, capital are on 20 x 50mm.
