Yup. Scream has made some truely amazing conversions. I'll definitely be nagging him for images for NetEpic Gold :D

The EW tanks are nice as well (but of course I'll be saying that  :p  )

Well, I've been using EW tanks for my new Squat force. I'm waiting on the Elektra for my Hearthlord although an Enforcer would also do.

I'm also bias though - for obvious reasons! :D

Green/red/yellow is the historical color of GW squats, Mjolnia color scheme.

About the conversions I did, they are mostly based on IronWindMetal minis. Unfortunately, they remove quite all the vehicles I used from standard production line. They are still available in battletech archives but you need to pay extra fees for the first mini (something like ~20$ for the first blister)...

In all honesty I use the Dark Realm Pax Arcadia minis for Squat tanks.

Why?

Because they have buggies (which would seem to me to be a much smarter choice for squats than their traditional trikes, given they're from heavy gravity worlds) and if you look at units like the Mammoth, the Thunderstrike, the Castellian, and the variant 2 of the castellian they look very Squatish indeed.

Looks like an excellent proxy for those crushingly expensive cyclops minis.

You're right; it does look like an excellent proxy for a Cyclops, but how does it compare in size to the original?

Same size.

I think I have one at home, I'll look, if I do I'll take a pic of it next to an actual cyclops and post it.

I'd suggest the following since the game master's minis used in netepic 4 are sometimes hard to find.

Squat units---------4.0 mini----------my suggested current mini
Iron shield APC------GM claw---------Plasma blast games Zargan APC
Iron hammer--------GM ferret-------- Plasma blast games Hammerhead Multirole variant
Retributor-----------GM wolverine---- Plasma blast games Gammaran Plasma cannon and m-pods
Grudgekeepr SPA----GM Fang---------DRM thunderstrike
Steel hawk----------mod gc----------plasma blast games shadowasp
War hawk------------mod gc---------modified shadowasp
Heathlord SH---------unsure----------Possibly the Gammaran with the plasma destructor
Hellfury apc----------unsure

The claw class troop carrier and the fang class destroyer are still available (http://www.mondayknight.com/Miniature%2 ... nIndex.htm) but the ferret and wolverine are nowhere to be found.
The hearth lord could be a pouncer class (seen on the monday knight page I listed above)

gc of course standing for gyrocopter

Here's what the gammaran tank looks like since I used it twice in the list.

They are excellent tanks. I think the Hammerhead and Spiderblade work pretty well for Squats but the Gammaran doesn't look that "Squatty". They'd be pretty decent as Tau replacements though. The Shadowasp could work as a Gyrocopter but the EW Valkyries are awesome.

The Gammaran is a little less squatty than I'd like, indeed, however the reason I suggested it for the retributor and the hearthlord is pretty simple, look at the weapons load for those two tanks.

The retributor has a main cannon and missile pods. As such it's VERY hard to find a tank that has both weapons on the same turret.

The Hearthlord has the plasma laser super cannon. As such it needs a really heavy duty cannon model. Perhaps the turret for each could be mounted on a different body though.
