I'd personally prefer guitar wire cables, but the cubes look great.

Maddoctor I initially tried guitar wire but it wasnt stable enough for the thickness that I wanted for the legs. I think it would have added the right amount of detail that the legs are currently missing.


Next out of the tomb are some destroyers. There are a pretty simple conversion inspired by the wonderful Raiders conversion guide but using the Exodus wars immortals... I mean erm... Heavy assault infantry. I would have liked to put three to a base ideally but I only have a about 20 scarab models and still need to make some heavy destroyers two optional lords and a bunch of tomb spiders. Well they came out okay and look nice next to the rest of the army but they dont really shine very bright.






I cant really put off building and painting more monoliths much longer but im dreading the task. I might be able to distract myself with a Warbarque for a little bit and trying to work out how to build claws for my tomb spiders.

Also I need to make a Deciever for my force. I am pretty stumpted as I dont want to spend any cash (If possible) and want to make something that is both unique and reognisable as a C'Tan. Hmmmm....

One of the things that I'm really impressed with is the painting on your guns. At that scale they really look like the transparent plastic rods of their 40K counterparts.

Megaboltrat - Can you wait until I finish the army and get a few games in with them before you start yours? I did start out playing chaos and really was cidered doing death gaurd but settled for a speedily painted undivided force. After seeing your beautiful army I really went off my chaos as I felt I could have done so much more with them.

Malakai - I hadnt really concidered the guns that much, the paint just has a bit of bad moon yellow added in and a quick flick of the brush then im done. Its nice that you think it looks like the green plastic as I wish I had of had some to put onto some of the models.


Okay only a little has moved on my 'To Paint' stand. First up is the Destroyer Lord that missed an undercoating when I did the other destroyers. I included a photo of the back so you can enjoy is flesh cloak and see the kind of look the destroyers have from behind.

Also check out his unintentionally meloncholy face (I didnt even see how sad he was till taking a close up shot)






And some Pariahs, I had to add some white to them to make them stand out from the warriors. I wasnt planning to at first but they look really cool in the Warrior phalanxs now.
