Its been too long since I could do any hobby related stuff; family issues and all. Today was the first time I have unpacked my gear since august and I was just loving it   .

Now to finish the back log of minis, I've set my self some little goals to complete some things. For this week ending on the 14th, it's to do these scenery bits....

Done

defence lasers

bunkers/hangers

missile sites

gun turrets

Amazing work. Your use of 40k Bitz is especially refreshing. Though those ex-Heavy Bolters seem to have an unfeasibly large bore...

Just great stuff.

Those are going to look great on a table when you're done with them.

EDIT: I just noticed that this was my 9,000th post!

Congrats on the 9000th post

As for you... You Cad!!!
Where'd you get the pristine E:40K ruins from? I want them!

Everything looks really good though. Just needs a few touches here and there and they'll be great. The bolters are stupidly large though... They look more like large artillery pieces. Hmm, maybe elevate their barrels so they look like artillery or planetary defence weapons?

I'm not quite sold on the hangers either... They need some large doors on them, and a larger base. The lipped base doesn't quite look right.

Other than that everything looks awesome. Can't wait to see the finished project  :grinning:

Thank You all,
The ex-bolters are actually dreadnought exhaust bits. They were suppose to look like large arty pieces like those of the "atlantic wall" of WW2
The ammo bunkers/hangars do need some doors but I could not find the right bits. As for the bases, I wanted to keep the look of the objectives consistent so i went with the WM bases.
 Completed pieces coming tonight.

Now I know where I've seen those! Thought they were FW Razorback turrets. Try extending the barrels, it should be enough to lose the HB look they have right now.

Edited the first two posts with new pics, missile sites and defence line.

Could not decide on how to paint the missiles so i left them black.

BTW what missile is most predominate in epic games if used?

barrage, plasma, warp, etc, etc....

Alright, edited the pictures in first two posts again, finished the bunker/hangers and hyperios emplacements and wip on the others.

Sadly the ruins have fallen to the wayside as I've been striving to complete my ultras for a game at the end of the month; hopefully.

oh and this

I think the hangers might benefit from a bigger base.

But it all looks amazing.  Well done.  :)

Great stuff!

The final bunker picture, what did you use to build that?

It's the bottom of a 40k drop pod.
