The Daemon Prince summons the wounded Greater Daemon to his aid, and charges the nearby Fusion Hammerheads, which is intermingled with Fire Warriors 1 and the Broadside formation.

The Greater Daemon is slain in the FF and the Daemon Prince is down by 1, but after a lucky post-Engagement roll by the Daemon Prince the Tau lose the engagement and all three formations break!

The Daemon Prince also breaks, and shuffles off to stand on the Tau Blitz again.

SC Retinue retains to lay a BM on the Railgun Hammerhead formation, and contest the Red Corsairs Blitz marker.

=====

Ryan now has about 5-6 activations remaining, and I have 2 activations remaining (soon to become 1 as he effortlessly breaks the Noise Marine unit.

Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt.

End of game: 2-1 Tau-Red Corsairs

Tau : Two in my half, three in his half.
Red Corsairs : Break their spirit.

He would have had 'no unbroken in his table half' but the Daemon Prince rallied.

And so despite kicking a lot of ass, I just couldn't maintain my assault in the face of the Tau.

I'll blame the Tau having an extra 195pts more than me.  :grin:

======

Hellblades are excellent, Defiler formations are overpriced, and the Thunderhawk-bourne Berzerkers are fine (because you're spending 525pts on a one-shot formation with a speed of 15cm once on the ground).

Overall, despite the points discrepancy, I still feel that the Red Corsairs are slightly underpowered.

Could you elaborate this in the Red Corsairs thread? And would be interesting which formations you used yet.
