The third/lower one. I guess it's the same length as the Gatling thingy?

Working up a comparison shot now. I'll add some stock and gubbinz at the back as well. Especially the round capacitor wossnames from the blastgun.

You mean those four "drums" at the Blastgun? Strangely on an infantry plasma weapon this things are the magazines and refered to as Hydrogen Flasks. As a Titans's plasma weapons are powered by the Titan's reactor they shouldn't be there.  :oo:

Here's a comparison shot:
Those "drums" are indeed what I'm on about, whether they should be there or not, they are cool and synonymous with plasma weaponry in 40k. :D I got synonymous into a sentence, not really the right context and definately not the correct use of the word, but who cares, I liked it!

I think I might actually stick with the smallest of those three, scale it up a little and make the weapon shorter but bulkier than the others. what do you guys reckon?

Tough call. My initial thought was also that the short version would be interesting sinply for the sake of variety. On the other hand I understand if some people would prefer the symmetry of keeping arm weapon at equal length. If going for he longer version I kind of like the open version with lots of techy looking doowhats. Just seems to me like it would be more interesting to paint.

Ah the part with the elbow joint will still be added.
I would it make the same length as the Gatling thingy. Otherwise it might look to snubby.

Comparison might be the Double-barelled Turbolaser Destructor with the Laser Blaster.
Hmm but the Laser Blaster has alonger range in Wh40k than the Double-barelled Turbolaser Destructor while the Plasma Destructor and the Plasma Blastgun have the same ranges.

Hmmm did you follow my advise and made the muzzles closer together? Or are the three Plasma Blastguns still merged together at their second muzzle?
I would like to see that each of the three muzzles would be the same distance apart as on the Blastgun.

I still stand with the bottom/long/half amoured choice. Plasma weapons aren't stubby there long and deadly.

The shorter one bulked up twofold+ would get my vote.  I always think of big plasma weapons needing to be closer to the old Warlord weapons though.

The Barrels are closer together than they were, not quite blastgun distance apart but thats because it looked funny.
Here's scaled up blastgun pieces:

Don't forget that there are also arms weapons such as the Meltacannon, barrage missile launcher or Laser Blaster, which are significantly shorter than some of their counterparts. Though I realise the laser Blaster is a close combat weapon.

Here's a slightly different size scale to match gattler barrel length:

I bet you mean the Las Burner  :upside:
Well the Missile Launcher and Multi-melta look quite short in comparison to the Lascannon in Wh40k too :) But then all heavy weapons have roughly the same length with the exception of the Lascannon...

As for the picture: I don't think that upscaling is needed.

I quite like the shorter version. I think if made too long it will appear long and spindly, not at all what we're after. Can we get a shot of it spliced onto to main body/arm joint of the gatling gun for reference?

Indeed, if these weapons were available seperately, I think your PM box would fill up very quickly Jonluke!
:agree:
