JonLuke, you definitely need to come down to Euston for a game soon, I can already tell I am going to need to buy you a pint!

I guess you've gone the opposite direction to E&C, working top down to the bottom must be more fun, whereas E&C has done those detailed, detailed feet first.  All those rivets.  Can imagine you're looking forward to it!

Edit: BTW, I know E&C posted an relative height diagram a while back, but have you a rough idea how tall this is going to be?  33 metres seems to be a vague consensus (and is supported by the Apocalypse book I think?) so that would make it about 4 1/2" tall in epic?

I prefer option 1.

Until I build the legs and make it proportional to look good I'm not sure, but at a rough guess I expect 4 1/2 inches is fairly close. Here's a pic with dimensions for the current size:

Here's the beginning of the Gyro room - there will be a big bulkhead between the head access area and the gyros I expect.

Do Titan heads still eject?

Not specified in any of the recent publications or novels (which have been featuring Titans more and more), so I'm gonna say no.

Here's the back armour. Beginning to take shape now:

Here's a sketch of what we're aiming at, as you can see it's changed and developed during construction:

I've got to stop posting on this thread, but whenever you add something awesome like the shot of the back of the torso and that sketch, I can't resist!  Amazing!

I love that cog type shape on the back, like spinal discs or something.  I reckon when FW make their 40k scale one they're gonna call you!

Btw, are the thighs gonna have any armour?  I know traditionally Mars patterns don't, but I've always thought it looked a bit odd personally.

Just a few random thoughts:

Legs look a bit short compared to the height of the body and carapace. Torso in particular seems very tall.

Carapace weapons look a bit on the small side. I know current 40k rules have the carapace weapons listed as smaller types than was traditionally allowed for Warlord titans, but the squarish feel given by the 4 weapon hardpoints on the previous designs seems to be rather downplayed here. As it is it looks more Reaver-ish.

The arm weapons could be longer or the hardpoints moved slightly forward. Compared to the huge counterweight of the body on the rear it just seems to me the front needs a bit more weight for balance.

Of course a lot of things can change from the initial concept sketch and I'm sure that the finished result will look great regardless. The design may just have to grow on me, but these were my initial thoughts upon seeing the concept sketch :)

An amazing job so far but please oh please don't make the legs anything like the FW 40k reaver; horrible!
If FW sold these i'd want a couple for sure...

I like the new Reaverlegs

And be sure to contact FW if you are finished with your Warlord. I bet they want to have it

I don't. I didn't like the FW Reaver when it first came out, but wasn't quite sure why. I eventually realised it was the legs. The rest of it's great, but there's something about the legs that just doesn't work somehow.

I also agree with Warmaster Nice about the carapace weapons. They could perhaps be smaller than the arm weapons, but not too much smaller. After all, the Apocalypse Rocket Launcher is pretty big on the Reaver; it presumably shouldn't be that much smaller on a Warlord.
