Yeah, I'd be tempted to give all Death Guard units heavy bolters (2x for havocs). Although, for all that they seem to use heavy bolters as their iconic weapon, what they really NEED are some lascannon...

Here's my suggestion for new upgrade to Death Guards as Lord I still haven't come back to father nurgle.

Hena, which units did you intend the character upgrades be for - Death Guard, Plague Marines or either?

on a complletely different note, my friend and i are in the process of updating our space marine era armies over to the new rules and chaos is next on the list. after downloading the rules for death guard and some other lists i see they are incomplete. they require you to have the latd and black legion lists.... but you cannot download these. any chance that the army lists themselves could have all the units listed w/ their stats (like the minervans)? i realize this would be a lot of extra work but it would make using the list a lot easier.

The Plaguereaper is different than the Decimator and an Undivided Daemon War Engine in a Nurgle themed list would miss the theme.

I think the Plague Reaper deserves his own Profile... the Main Weapon should be somethink like 30cm, 3BP MW, ignore Cover...

Heres a BatRep of DG (with Rhinos allowed for all Retinues) against my Biel Tan Eldar.

uhm.. yes now that i looked it up in the Handbook i realise it  :oops:

But why does the Decimater have this? Its named " Decimator(Chaos Shadowsword)" in the Handbook, why has it such a short range an no TK Hits?  :sus:

If it is like that we should rename the Decimator to Plague Reaper in all Lists... and invent a new Chaos Shadow Sword for the BL...  :laugh:

Well the Space Marine Legions had Fellblades (Benablades) and Mammoth (Shadowswords) before the Horus Heresy :D

The Plaguereaper is a Nurgle Banbelblade which replaces the Baneblade Cannon and Autocannon for a Pus Cannon. In my lists it has 30cm 2BP Ignore Cover.

So either way, we're justified in making them more mechanised or giving them more heavy weapons and I'd rather stick more to the fluff than the 40K mechanics.

How about an army wide -1 to-hit modifier for the opponent because Nurgle armies tend to be accompanied by bazillions of flies which obscure sight and sensors.

Don´t think that would be a good Idea... they got 3+ Saves, nothing wrong about durability there... the Problem is range and mobility imho
