The model is done, I will have a pic for you Saturday or Sunday, depending when I can get to a table to take it.  I will throw a few extras in as well in case you need them or can find a home for them.

Or is the background I took the other pics on good enough.

Ben I have everything Imperial ever made. And enough spares to paint whatever you want. Alternatively if there is a certain look you are after (i.e. not tourny 3 tone) I can drop whatever you need round to you whenever and you can abuse it with a brush.
Also if you need anything in previous marks I have it (so a bag of 2nd ed thunderbolts, 1st edition everything etc) if you want alternate pictures of anything. Sadly 1st ed Thudd guns and rapiers had marines modeled on, but if you really want them I can give you a couple to cut.
Ironically 1st ed is oft the best in terms of looks (well to me, and definately over 2nd ed), 2nd ed is the crappest looking and what I mostly had in mind and even what I actually use for mine :) That bloody hellhound especially.
Oh you need the mortars still?
I use strip bases of 2 80mm mortars (ie two thin legs and a slightly thicker main tube), 2 loaders and 1 comms guy. I was thinking of doing some max base size chaps with 3 120mm mortars, 3 loaders, 3 lasguns (shame the 1st and 3rd ed guard don't mix as I have a bunch of rapier and taratuala guardsmen) and one comms and make it a bit prettier as the basic stand is rather bare (note how both fit in the 3-7 infantry models requirement, amassing eh?). All of course with gas masks.

Ditto for the Mossinian Mortar, just with a Battle of Five armies base and a little bit of extra detailing. There are pictures of all the models in the current Siege pdf if you've not seen it?

Whilst int he UK I have to recover from the catastrophic hardware failures I had on multiple machines in India. Which is a long way of saying I haven't put a pdf reader on this laptop yet, in part because its got a small hard drive and all it has is the bare bones of windows and the recovery software to leave as much space as possible for the files starting to be sucked off the trashed drives.

However hwen I've finished plastering I'll be able to uncover the beast downstairs which can look at pdf's. Likewise my brother may at some point get hs machine back from work, with another chance to view it for me :)
