My Eldar army began in 2007, when rumors were running about the end of SG. So I hurried to purchase the Edlar stuff.

In late 2007, here was my Saim-Hann army (plus some more stuff swimming into acetone or brake fluid) :

(some painting, but it all went into brake fluid)

In 2008, the Eldars were slipping in boxes. And recently, I reopenned the painting workshop.

First, I needed Wild Riders.
Some Mk1 Vypers and Banshees later, I got 5 Wild Riders :

I also try my brand new Dremel tool. The result is a cool eldar objective.

The first Guardians Ost :

And the today production : 2 troupes of Falcons :

I still don't know how to paint my SHT. I validate the black cannon with white endding (like Falcons), but I can't find where to put white & black on the hull ...
Here are some tests (before the acetone bath) :

Aside from that, I try to convert an old plastic Falcon into a Fire Prism. It need new green stuff layers, but it looks fine.

These are very nice, some very smart conversions. I like the Wild Riders best but they are a natural favourite of mine. The Fire Prism looks very sleek and deadly too and the Gateway Portal is simply inspired.  :agree:

Good luck with the Next Sunday deadline, hope they work well for you too.

EDIT: I am nicking the Wild Riders idea... once I get more Banshees, curses!

Very nice work there.
The fireprism is really cool too. One suggestion might be to carve the prism from a piece of plastic spure instead of using Green Stuff. Much easier to get straight edges that way. The use of a BFG prow ram is an inspired idea.

Those are some very neat conversions. Nice paintwork, too. Great stuff.

Wow, they look great! I don't see many Saim-Hann Epic armies.

My suggestion for the Fire Prism is to look at the Cities Of Death stuff; there are simply loads of little parts on those that would make for great Fire Prism crystals. You can see something I thought would be useful here in the lower right hand corner. There are some for sale here on Ebay. Much easier than making your own!

I'd also check out the Eldar Vehicle Accessories for a suitable turret to mount it on. If you shave and file down that big gem on the plastic falcon, you can mount your turret there. Bitzbox has something suitable here in the middle of the picture. I'm sure that you ask Eldar players on Warseer for some spares to buy/trade if not.

Cool beans Flogus! What are you using for the gray basing material? After an earlier (semi failed) attempt at something similar i'd like to try something like this again.

Good stuff indeed, and I'm not all that keen on Eldar. That's why I make Necrons.

I use a kind of plaster.
It is a 'ready to use' coat of 'plaster', used to refill damage walls.

Here a (French) link to let you see. The name of the brand is "Toutpret", litteraly "Ready to Use".

I find it in supermarkets, near glues and paints. There are coat of smoothing and coat of refill; I use last one.

And I also glue small layer of blister foam to make some kind of grass.

Very nice. The Shining Spears especially are lovely.
