Monday, Hojyn left its Tyranids appart and he awaked its Dark Angels.
And I decided to play a new list : Adeptus Mechanicus.

Lists
Space Marines (Handbook 2008 + free exchange Rhinos/1 Dreadnought)
Adeptus Mechanicus 1.07

Dark Angels
Tactical + 1 Rhino + 5 Razorbacks (lascan) + Hunter + SC
Tactical + 2 Dreadnoughts CC + 1 Hunter
Terminators + Chapelain
Landspeeders
Landspeeders Tornado
Landing Barge(Pred & Dev)
Predators Annihilator
Devastators + 2 Rhino
Warhound (Plasma blaster + Vulcain)


Adeptus Mechanicus
Demi-century + Tech-lord + 1 Hydra
Ordinatus Golgotha + 2 Hydras
Forge Knights
Manticores
Sentinels
Reaver (2 Laser Blasters + 1 Plasma Cannon)
Warhound (1 Plasma Blaster + 1 Inferno)
Warhound (1 Plasma Blaster + 1 Inferno)
I forgot my Hydras, so I load my Manticores with AA-missiles (count as Hydra) and I borrowed Hojyn's Manticores

I wrote the batte report in French on the Epic_Fr forum, but as usual, it is heavyly-pictured.

cool, I love reading French, such a pretty language (even if I don't understand all of it :)). Sounds like you struggled to counter Hojyn's maneuverability - those land speeders must have been a considerable annoyance. Taking out the terminators as soon as they landed must have been fun though!

I made mistakes on my deployment :
- mis-placing my Sentinels. If I hadn't won the Strategy on turn 1, would my Ordinatus have been destroyed by Terminators.

- placing my Reaver too close to Manticores. This allow Hojyn to take them in an intermangled assault and win it with the help on the +3 modifier (= 3 dead Manticores). And during the 3 turn of the game, my shooty titan was unable to shoot even once ! grrr !

The Landspeeders really annoy me, but hight mobility and Scout ability are their main weapons.

About the Adeptus Mechanicus list, I feel it fine (except the über Praetorians). But every 'cool' formation is cost a lot (really frustrating ^^).
Playing with custom titans is cool too (well, if they dont spend all game time broken).

Out of curiosity, are you going to increase their cost or decrease their abilities? I'm in favor of a points increase.

I'd rather see a decrease of their abilities: 10 Fearless units with save 3+ are always going to be a nightmare, even at 350-400 points.

Actually, my choice would be to keep the same profile but to make them an upgrade of the Skitarii, just like the Ogryns in the IG list. 0-2 Praetorians for +X pts each.

Something else came up while Flogus and I were discussing the Praetorians: they take up 2 spaces in a Corvus pod (transport capacity 10), so how are they supposed to use a Corvus pod if they only come in a 10-strong formation  ?

I believe I originally intended the pod to transport only 5 Praetorians and forgot that fact at some point ; I could simply ajust the Praetorians down to being a 5-strong formation for 250 points?
