Thanks guys!  :))  Are you like me, ( :sus: !?!) ...No, no, I mean, when you get an idea in your head it just hangs around until you have to do something about it. This one has been buzzing about since before Christmas.

Hmmm, Hot-Lips... say, that's not bad. Might as well go the whole hog. I can convert another Eldar into a Sister Hospitilar... Cheers, Malakai.

Painting. The Guard Orderlies and Corpsmen in their unit colours and for the Medics I was thinking maybe... em... white coveralls? Suitably blood splattered of course.

Well spotted L4, Yup, the Doc has been taking lessons from a MadDoc when he had been Captured by Orks...
"Lie still son, it's gotta' come off. You may want to scream a bit though 'cause this is gonna' hurt!"
...What, do you think the Chainsaws too much?..

Now. All I need are suitable minis for MedEvac's and a field hospital and more orderlies and stuff.

No, the chainsaw works fine ! The Docs in the ACW wish they had some !  :sus:  And Hot Lips Hoolihan is a good idea & addition ! :wow:

I think the easiest method would be to sculpt a tent from green stuff. Much easier to make it look "slackey" that way. Come to think of it, didn't someone here post pics of 6mm scal military tents a while ago? Could have been Firestorm but I'm not really sure.

Wonderfull idea with the medics BTW. ...Antough something tells me that the Imperial army isn't normally too concerned with caring for the wounded

Besides, I got some bad news from my work with regards my eyes so this is good therapy.

Yowch. I hope they're not being confiscated.

Thanks for the advice Warmaster Nice, I've still to try proper sculpting and have never used Greenstuff yet. I don't even have the tools. Getting up to speed with greenstuff is going to set me back time wise. It wont be as good as using Greenstuff but is there a technique for soaking sack cloth in that will make it ridged when it dries? I can mould it to shape over a basic wire frame and leave it to dry. Like water+PVA? Wall paper paste maybe? The scale is going to be the problem I think. I'll need to experiment...

I prefer my IG to be more like a WWII parody so there is some sort of responsibility to the men. Maybe not every company or battalion/regiment would be the same however.

:)) They can't have them, they didn't get my soul so they aren't getting my eyes.
No, I'm being given six months in which I have to apply for and sit for interviews for other posts within my employment otherwise they can legally let me go. I physically can't do the job I've been employed to do because their is a high risk of injury. They have kindly classed me as Disabled (talk about a stigma) due to the operations to my eyes (detached retinas) and the likelihood of an assault at work causing further damage. With the economic recession/depression I feel it could not have come at a worse time. Life conspires but we persevere.
I am unsure of my, or more importantly my families future.

Well, look on the bright side guys... Anyone want to buy some Epic?!? (JOKE! Back away!.. I know Kung-Fu!)

Maybe some medical Valkyries? ... though painting a big red + on something in the 40k universe doesn't sound the best idea, any Ork or Chaos follower would mistake it for 'Easy Pickings' rather than 'Medical Evac'.

Hey good call, you just reminded me I have one extra Valkyrie, perfect. As to the big red +  ...if Blood Angels and various other brightly coloured armies can get away with it then why can't I? I think I can suspend my disbelief just a little higher

Now, do I want to make some rules for MedEvac or is this just a Diorama...  :oo:  Hey, lookit me... I'm a real modeller now!  :))   ...well, in theory, anyways.

That could certainly work too. Or even simpler: Cut the basic tent shape from a block of styrofoam and cover that with the cloth (toilet tissue covered in pva glue would work as well. I remember doing camo nets that way a looong time ago. Once dry I then covered the stufff in thin superglue to give it a plastic like surface that was easy to paint on.

Well I hope things work out with your vision and work situation. I figure you are smart enough for a "Taysider" to survive !  :;): And SM2 had rules for Medics attached to units. IIRC it increased the save ? And I'd think an Arvus would make a good Medevac bird. And the insignia would that [phonetic spelling] "Cadusius" ... you know the symbol on the 40K scale medics ...

Thanks L4, I'm looking up the web for inspiration (Military Field Medics, Field Hospitals and Medevac and insignias). "Caduceus"? is that the snake emblem? I have that on my SM Apothecary standard and it would look cool on the side of... anything really. I'll look it up too. Alas I have no Aquilas. Proxy time?
Yup, NetEpic Medics get to attempt to save up to five infantry units within 10cm on a 5+ roll. Something similar in many ways to EA's reinforced armour as it's just effectively another armour save.

That could certainly work too. Or even simpler: Cut the basic tent shape from a block of Styrofoam and cover that with the cloth (toilet tissue covered in pva glue would work as well. Very nice idea... I like it. Thanks, yup Styrofoam I have. Styrofoam cutter I can get and the rest is relatively easy. we have a winner.  :))

Interesting...

From Wikipedia:

in Roman iconography the caduceus was often depicted being carried in the left hand of the Greek god Hermes (Roman god, Mercury), the messenger of the gods, guide of the dead and protector of merchants, gamblers, liars and thieves.

The caduceus is sometimes used as a symbol for medicine, especially in North America, through confusion with the traditional medical symbol, the rod of Asclepius, which has only a single snake and no wings.

The rod of Asclepius (also known as the rod of Asklepios, rod of Aesculapius or asklepian[1]) is an ancient Greek symbol associated with astrology[2] and with healing the sick through medicine. It consists of a serpent entwined around a staff.

Someone way back in history buggered this one up when they made that mistake.  :vD

An Arvus or Aquila would work as a Medevac Bird(we used to call'm "Dustoff").  But another proxy would work too ... :ace:

I have a nagging feeling I may have collected more than my fair share of Epic.

Nah, that's not even close to the Primarchload (i.e. TacComm's benchmark for more than a fair share) so no worries. I do confess I am envious for the second Capitol Imperialis, though. We has only one my preciouss...

Still, I have a PSI-titan as well as some Exodites.  :vD

Are there any pictures of this Grail of Epic Hordes? I would really like to ogle at it forlornly and maybe print it off so I can laminate it to protect it from my tears of joy.  :_(

I have 30-50K in almost every other army, SOB's 8K and Necron 4K (Unfinished), No Dark Eldar... yet and no Tau, but it's only a matter of time... and money

I do confess I am envious for the second Capitol Imperialis, though. We has only one my preciouss...
Well, there goes the home security to high alert status.  :sulk:  Alas, I don't have a Hellbore. So if anyone is interested in a Capitol Imperialis for Hellbore trade then I MAY be interested.
