Hi everybody!

Long story short,

In the year 2004 (?): E:A is released and a certain miniature gamer (i.e. yours truly) catches the 6 mm bug. Karegak spots an article in WD and starts an IG army from scratch. Shops at game conventions and mail order supply all the new lovely miniatures which are then painted in record time for a lazy painter. Three games are played and the ruleset is deemed lovely. Then nothing happens, interest for the game dies off completely. A couple of months later Warmachine hits the city. *Tumbleweed*

One year ago: Karegak is tired of Warmachine/Hordes and nets a good deal on orks on the internet and intends to move on with his plans for tiny soldiers. *Puff* Girlfriend arrives and miniatures take second place.

Present day: After years wandering in the desert of Karegak's closet the Epic miniatures are pulled out as an answer to a resurging interest in E:A in the city and Karegak ponders "Why did I ever stop playing with these?"

So here we are, after this somewhat bizarre introduction, and as the topic says I intend to post pictures of my painting. The first parts will be quite easy as I'm going back to rebase and brush over the clipped parts of my IG. There will be some new additions as well but the first 3000 points are mainly reworks. As these miniatures have never been published before I can imagine that I'll get away with "cheating" a little. After the guard we'll see what I'm up for. Either orks or some newly ordered space marines.

Apologies for the darkness of the images. I'm still working on the camera setup.

Leman Russ Demolishers (yes, that's FoW bases).

I can very much understand the situations that got you off track.

The FOW bases look good. Are you going to base all your vehicles?

Welcome aboard. Real life does have a nasty habit of interfering with Epic. Nice paint jobs.

Thanks guys. Yeah I forgot mentioning graduating university as one of the time sinks as well.

I intend to base all my vehicles. Superheavies might get a lot of more base square area per mini than ordinary vehicles but we'll see how it works out.

Still tricky with the camera. Some of the minis are out of focus. But I'd rather leave them for the sake of completeness than crop them out.

Curse you Karegak... Curse you for bringing me down with you :p

For those who wonders, I am one of those players that started playing epic recently... And all because of Karegak here... I'll just have to paint some units first and then I can publish them too.

Games so far:
Karegak's Imperial Guards: 0
vs.
GUNNM's Eldar: 2

Hope to see more of your stuff as it gets painted up. Are you able to post larger pictures with more detail?

Thanks all for the kind words! Apart from you gunm of course. Telling everybody about my crappy playing. :p

Anyways on with the catch of the day. All cropped up so as to get a little closer view. I can see now that the ink on the brown camo is a bit uneven. I imagine this will not be a problem from here on as I've now switched to the new GW-washes which mean a world of difference.

Baneblades (newly painted):

Hydras (facelift on old job):

What do you think? Should I crank up the camera resolution some more?
