Anyone tried sticking just one launcher on top where the plasma cannon was, or underneath and see how that looks?

Underneath looks bad. That, and how would it land?

I did toy with putting one pod on top. It did not look bad at all, but since I had already cut off so many rocket pods anyway...

Good question. How do they land anyway? Thinking about how they have assault cannons underneath etc... I guess they don't need to land if they are hover.

Will have a play...

Cant hover all the time; transport, repairs, refueling, etc. I believe they have retractable landing gear, kinda like Airwolf.

They never land! They just get clamped either side and are held their, humming softly...

Really like the use of the plasma guns from the speeders ! And I'm guessing the speeders have retractable skids or legs to land ... So any weapon mounted beneath the fuselage wouldn't rest on the ground ...   :)

Yeah well you'd think so. However, confusingly the bottom of the 40k speeder despite being very detailed, has nothing that looks like landing gear or landing gear hatches. Just plenty of sticky out bits, including a very long keel type thing with a targeter or something, eg:

View of bottom.

From front showing the 'keel' and what looks like an added missile pod underneath also (think this is the new scout version):

I would say landing clamps or just that the technology is advanced enough that the speeders power cell doesn't need recharging often.

Come on L4, where's your faith?? There's always a good reason
you just have to use your imagination... (sometimes a lot...).

For example maybe it's Phlostigen aether condensers? (sp?)

Like those Victorian Skyships of Mars and the like?

So I said I was doing some Ravenwing next. Well, all I have are the old style bikes and I want to have an Attack bike. Why? Just because. Most times I hate mixing styles, so I cant use the new style AB with the old bikes. Means I have to make my own. Frak, what a pain. I wanted it to be close to the old style RT Attack Bike (why no multimelta?). Here it is.
