My daughter has somehow taken charge of my painting schedule.

So I am painting her a fantasy army.

I traded my old Nid army that was sitting in the display cabinet scaring the kids for an entire Brentonian army for this project and just ordered around 25 Reaper Characters to try and achieve the theme that she wants.

The army will focus around a princess (who is left in charge of the realm due to her father being ill) and her powerful (all female of course) retainers backed up by an army of knights defending their realm from evil invaders (being my WHFB armies).

All the dragon trainer and sorceress miniatures from Reaper are very cool.

We also decided on a unit of flying stands with cloud riding angels and cherubs to back everything up, or be summoned by a magic ring or something like that. I am sure the story will change as I paint the miniatures so that her new favorite becomes the most important and is dating the most handsome Knight and all those other things that are important to little girls (which I am supposed to remember and somehow model and paint appropriately).

That reminds me, my girlfriend said she'd play epic if I painted her up a SM army in Hello Kitty colors, but I'd have to paint hello kitty faces on all the vehicles.  I said no, but I'd let her paint one.  She went back to knitting.

If didn't cost so much I'd have done it.

Cost isn't the issue, but timing.  I'm currently painting a 40K Blood Angels army, and have epic orks, 40K orks (Assault on Blackreach set), Epic Tau, Epic Guard, Epic 'Nids, Titans, and various single models for my Epic Ulthwe and Blood Angels (because I want at least one of every model) armies all awaiting their turn at the work station.  Add in various terrain that strikes my fancy and thus moves to the front of the line, I'm booked out with painting for a couple months.  If there were a greater Epic presence locally I'd do it, just to show up with a Hello Kitty army.

5.  Perfect wargamnig age.  At the moment we play necromunda and blood bowl.  For necromunder I painted her some esher.  We have made up our own rules.  Big guns shoot a big stick in range, little guns shoot a little stick in range, everything kills on a 5+ and all cover gives a 5+ save.

My first ever Battletech minis!  Two 85 ton Stalkers and two 100 ton Atlas.  Lighting is a bit harsh but you get the idea.

Working on a light lance of 3 Jenners and a Commando next in desert camouflage.

Some beautiful stuff done here across the boards !!  And I'm not a real Titan/Mech fan, but IMO ... the BT models for the most part are more sci-fi looking then their G/W counter parts.  However that has not stopped me from buying and painting 20 some G/W titans of all versions ...  Guess I'm confused ! :upside:

Yes L4 it must be easy to get confused at your age, but don't worry. We make allowances for it...

L4 these Titans are very very nice. My favourite is the Warlord. The Camo is astounding!

The Scout Titans pose?.. has it just taken a hit? Lovely weapons on it too.

Yes, the camo on the Warlord is excellent!  I cannot blend colors to save my life.
