And an excellent start to your Necron army.  Question: given the talents you've already displayed, why wouldn't you try to make the Monoliths out of a non-paper material?  I bet you would do a great job.

Self doubt warps my perception of my abilities. I think resin casting is a skill set too far, for now. Any of this garbage make sense?

I enjoy the compliments lads. I will try to continue to deserve them. I'm a rank amateur still however.

1: Making an IG sniper out of an Eldar scout. Replaced the head with a SL head, resculpted the coat and added pouches. Looked daft as the eldar torso is so thin and I hadn't got the heart to bulk him up.

I went a little nuts yesterday and bought a 40K Necron destroyer... and then I went moding mental and used everything it came with except the two arms to make a Necron Tomb Stalker (Titan/Praetorian) counterpart. Let me know what you think. I had to complete my Necron Warrior Company just to calm down.

I'm trying to figure out how you jammed that torso into the empty space at the front of the destroyer body.

I have sharp knife and big galumphing fingers. If you can't force the little bleeder then lightly shave it on either side until it wants to go. I cut the underside of the Destroyer shell and pushed the rib cage in from below. Then I franticly glued it while it was jammed fast before it could spring back out at the fart of an ant.

Feel free Madd, glad to help. Should I paint the base? I'm not even sure I want it on something so tall.

I've been thinking of some sort of second and third weapon from the 40K Tomb Spider sprue. There is room just below the main weapon under the shoulder guards that would easily take them and not look bad. Or, even tendril like stuff below the shell like the Abattoir. That would be harder to do though...

First attempt at an Immortal. The reasoning behind my choice of miniature is that I can make an entire company with Marine minis and free up Chaos Androids for more Necron Warriors or Pariahs.
I can't quite get a satisfactory bayonet from card or plastic cuttings, all too big. I may attempt to use metal shavings as used to good effect in the Raiders book for Flayed Ones claws...
