Hi, I'm the guy Elias & BlackLegion had talked about. Greetings! I had the opputunity to test them a while
and they are difficult (expensive, low-unit count, and probably low-activation, as you said already) but I like
them *g*!
I have some questions/ideas to nealhunt:
1) Ahriman's Chosen: Is it a single stand? What kind of? Sorcerer Lord or Champion of Tzeentch? Or what?
It would be fine if you can write a little more about them *g*.
2) About the points for the Warp Palace of Tzeentch: I think it needs 2 power fields because it is so slow...
make 600 or 700 points, dosn't matter. But in the way now it comes to fast down. An daemonic pact would
be a very, very nice idea!
3) Yes, the Silver Towers die like flies. Perhaps Reinforced Armor and 100 points each?
4) Where are the notes for the Devolver?!? Same like Defiler?
5) The Icon Bearer isn't Fearless and has no Reinforced Armour but the brothers he marches with have?!?
6) In the Black Legion list I need a Battleship to use Dreadclaws (for 5 points each) in the TS list i don't
need one? And pay 10 points each?
I would be glad if you give an answer, because like the TS I'm do not give an inch and stay with my army!

Ahriman's Chosen are Sorcerers which can teleport units in 40K

I've noticed something missing in the list: Devolvers are listed as an upgrade but no unit has Devolvers as an allowed upgrade.

There is a 2.1 WIP that corrects the typos.  Next week is spring break so I will try to get a cleaned up version to Andy for the vault before the end of next week.

It's always available for tweaks but I don't think anything in the errata impacts the list to an appreciable extent.  Maybe the non-change to the armor FF stats, but that's all I can think of.

Is there something in particular that you had in mind?  I've only played a couple games with the list since the last round of discussion back in January (or maybe only one).  If you have feedback, I'd love to hear it.

I was thinking of some minor changes to list structure:

1) Changing the retinue requirement to simplify army-building and address complaints about limited choice of army structure.  1+ retinue (so minimum of 1 required) and everything else chosen freely.  0-2 restrictions remain on Termies and Disc Riders as they are supposed to be quite rare.

2)  Move Warp Palaces to 1/3 titan & air allocation.  375 points each.  The move to the restricted points is to avoid massed-WE problems as have been an issue with the Black Legion list.  It also provides an alternative to the 0-1 restriction and to the retinue restriction.  The point change is for balance and is still open for debate.


Overall, I think it's in pretty good shape.  The changes above are more about making it easy for a newcomer to read the list and create an army than because I think there are balance problems.

No, nothing in mind, just wanted to see how close you think it is to "finished". I like it so far, although this is with only ever having one game at revision 2.1. Moving the Warp Palace to the WE section seems fine.

Why are there Emperors Children stats in the WIP list?

Can i ask a general question about teleporting based on Ahriman's Chosen - does this ability only work once during a game? IE: Do I hold a unit of rubrics in reserve and teleport in on turn 2 or can the units teleport from turn to turn? I kinda like the latter but think it more than likely the former is true.

Heh.  I was messing around with formatting and borrowed some of Lord_I's document to test out some different looks.  That's why it was at the end after everything else.  I forgot it was there.

Just once, like the normal Teleport ability.

There is no information on the Daemon Prince's profile. Should I just use the 2.1 version until the typo has been corrected?
