I was thinking of adding +25pts to the Warlord, and -25pts to the Reaver.

That'd break both book configurations, by 25pts each way. :(

That *could* be mitigated by changing the Gatling Blaster to the 'free' points braket... I'm not convinced it is worth taking at +25pts.

Versatility is nice in theory, but in practice I prefer specialised configurations.

Renamed carapace landing pad to fire control centre.

Just out curiosity, why the name change?

I don't think you should get too hung up on matching the "book values", as that is the cost for the Titans as "allies", not core formations.

Other than the forward-thinking desire for the use of the AMTL option as allies in the other Imperial lists, there's no reason they should be the same points value.

So that it doesn't have to be carapace mounted.

Except that it would be awesome if it did turn out that way. :)

That's a big change. Mounting it on an arm seems like an odd place for it.

I wanted to free up the concept for scratchbuilders to be able to interpret it in their own way.

Arm mounted Fire Control Thingy would make no sence. Because the Arm Weapons have a greater fire arc than a carapace mount.

On the other hand: Why not call it Fire Control Device? So people can use the Platform and the Tower for it.

On the Covus Assault Pod: Transport 10? You are talking about cramming 30-60 human sized creatures in a Titan's arm.
Titans are big but not THAT big.

As for the Corvus Assault Pod, Transport 10 seems reasonable, since it used to hold 4 Terminators. Perhaps something else to consider for fluffiness sake, in SM2 the Termies were allowed an extra D6 in the first round of CC. Maybe this could be incorporated by giving Extra Attack (+1) for the first round?

Whilst waiting to see what direction the AMTL 2.0 list went I made my own Legio vest list.

In that the corvus assault pod gave any dismounting units first strike on the first round of any combat.

It seemed reasonable.  Not overly powerful, but still something.

Just out of curiosity,

How does one dismount from a Corvus pod??

Since you are some 10 -20 meters up in the air..do you jump, rappell, or does the titan kneel down?

If I recall, the orginal corvus was intended to be used in an urban setting where the titan rammed it into the side of a building.

rappel

I would assume this, although the 'ramming the pod into a building' thing rings a bell.

I have always assumed that, unless it was being rammed into a building or Gargant, the Corvus assault pod would be lowered to the ground through an archane mixture of chains and anti grav plates, as only the imperium could do it.
