Oh in english too? I thought only the german version of the Apocalypse book had changed names for the titan weapons.
Perhabs we can borrow some? :)

Head weapons are questionable as they need to cost or have some negative effect overall. Otherwise one takes them all the time. And they also are "automatic" to Assault titans (if giving FF or CC bonus) as titans need to be as destructive as possible in their trade.

Unsurprisingly, I like my "White Knights" system for dealing with heads.

The drawbacks of head-based weapons should probably be left to individual lists. The basic idea here is to iron out stats, then decide on how you choose your armaments depending on the individual lists. Much like how Space Marines have the same stats, but different unit sizes/organizations in different lists.

For titan names the only one I can see having changed between the Warhound and Warlord is that the Warlord gets a Laser Blaster instead of a Double Barreled Turbo-Laser Destructor. Which's stats are basically a triple-barreled TLD.

Well than call the Warhound weapon Turbo-Laser Destructor and the Battletitan weapon Laser Blaster.

I found out, that the Battletitan sized rocket launchers are called Apocalypse- or Apocalyptic Rocket Launcher.

Head weapons should probably only be available for Assault/Titan Hunter configurations (Vandal/Nightgaunt?).

@Chroma: Care to share the stats for the titan weapons given in the Apocalypse book?

That figures.  They would need to bland everything out to make it more 40K-applicable.

Perhaps we just need to accept that the titan weapons will deviate from the 40K versions more than inf/AV weapons.  After all, the VMB is 45cm range, but 60" in Apocalypse, so that's already screwed.

The laser blaster's been around at least as long as the plastic warlords (IE: as long as the game XD) I have a couple. They're basically eight-barreled smaller laser cannons which go on Warlords. As I understand it the first editioin of the game didn't have TLDs, they weren't introduced until later. So using the Laser Blasters to fill that role would make reasonable sense, though you'd then have naming conflicts with the core rules! (Then again, you could do it the other way around, and name the Warhound ones the Laser Blaster, and leave the reaver/warlords as TLDs!)

But a game of 40K is an assault.  :D

What I find funning is that the melta cannon is 10+3D6 armour pen.  As if it wont penatrate anything.

Played Emperors Shadow earlier today and he managed to roll 4 1's for 4 plasma blaster shots from his pair of Warhounds. ES is currently looking for new dice.

Well, I'll probably be using Neal's weapon list for my titans in the future, barring some new development which says they should have vastly differing stats anyway.
