Taking good pictures has been bothering me to. But I've got some tips from my girlfriend, so hopefully I can get some nice pictures from my Lorcha's and scratchbuild merchantmen. Then my conversion article is finnaly finished.
I'm also starting on the article about the fleet list. I've fixed a few small flaws in the fleetlist, suchs as the inclusion of the latticeship and some small point changed in the upgrades list. Sorry for the long silence, real life has been busy lately.

Hi Guys,

been away for a while, but life seems to have a way of not letting me finish the fleet list. So to prevent furhter delays to our fleet list and quicken its publication in Warp Rift I'll upload the latest version I have. Perhaps one of you can write an article about it so that we can get those rules out there.

cheers
Yannic

An article??? let me thing...

"This rules are a DEFINITIVE MUST for any serious BFG player. No more imperial fleets, no more battles just for the country. Now you take the role of a rogue trader, the ultimate adventurer in the 40k universe. You can try to monopilice the trading routes of the void, or become a pirate launching daring raids against your enemies, or carve your own empire in the stars, or do all at the same time! So take your navigator, refit your flagship and sail out to conquer glory in the darkness of space!"

No, seriously, how can i help you?

I think he means more an introduction and such. Cool text to go along with it.

Layout is of no issue as I will do that for Warp Rift.

Hi folks - I was directed here by Blackhorizon, from the SG forums - I've been looking to develop an RT fleet with a bit of background based on the East India Company, and I've done a few conversions and scratchbuilt cruisers already (pics on the Painting/Modeling Section) - if there's anything I can help out with then just let me know - I see layout isn't a priority - but if it is part of my job involves desktop publishing so I can tart it up a bit and turn it into print-ready pdf if you like?

Will track back through the posts and see if there's anything I can contribute - other than that it looks really good, nice one!

Hi morquentas,

East India influences is nice and I would definatelly want to see such a list as a seperate add-on for the Rogue Trader list.

Pics of rogue traders is what is needed for a cool Warp Rift article.

Thanks on the pdf offer but since Warp Rift has a 'fixed' format I'll do they lay-out for that myselves.

However, I wouldn't mind a seperate PDF only about Rogue Traders.

Hi guys,

Well, I'll try to get so better pictures of my rogue trader ships and the stats for my custom trade galleon ( yeah I know, I had to build something that can't be represented by our rules ;-) )

I can patch up my article on how I converted my rogue trader ships with some pictures and send it in. I think its best to publish it with the rest of the Rogue Trader rules, otherwise it would seem a bit out of place.

I'll even write up some background stories to go with my fleet, most of that has been spinning in the back of my mind for a while.

So if either Horizon or Yuber could come up with a proper introduction to our rules I think we're set. I just can seem to get a nice enough introduction for the rules ( tried several times)

Blackhorizon - no problem - don't want to muscle in on the work you've already done. Will work on developing an add on for the list. What sort of pdf on rogue traders did you have in mind? Background?

OK -

If the pictures I posted on the SG boards of my rogue trader vessels would help the article, i'd be more than happy for you folks to use them. I'm using your list to come up with a small fleet - if you can wait till thursday, i should be able to supply pictures of the ships, side on views and the fleet in convoy. I'll also try and get round to doing an article with suggestions for kitbashing.

A few points on the list that I came across while writing the fleet list - apologies of this is something you've discussed already, but it might make it easier to use when published.

1) When buying the weapons fits to add to the hulls, it might help if things like weapons batteries (which most people will buy two of, one for each side) were listed at a single cost - e.g Port and Starboard weapons battery - 50pts. Makes it a tad simpler to add up.

2) The Re-commissioned escorts - I like the inclusion of proper old Naval terms but it's a bit confusing as to what Imperial/Chaos vessels these apply to - what might be helpful would be to list the available options - e.g 'Brigantine' (Sword/Firestorm/Infidel Class)

Hi,

take your time on pics, there is no set deadline...yet ;)
An article on kitbashing is appreciated as well.

1) The costs are for port/starboard already if I recall correctly. But clarifying things never hurt.

2) Re-Commissioned is different then Swords etc...

At the beginning of the document you see you can take Sword &
Iconoclausts and 0-6 Recommissioned vessels.

Alien escorts need more wording as well (check Warp Rift 11 for an example of the Tobari).

Ah, I see - each one is an option for an entire weapons set...

All clear now. Will have a look at Warp Rift 11 as well.

Haha, I guess Yannic's Trade Galleon has been taken by Orks.

What?!? (sound of a sword unsheating) Then we must do something!

Do you know the mail of Warp Rift editor? Maybe he knows something about that article we wanted to hand him. Anyway, i'm sending a PM to Yannic.
