Oh, I hear you there. I have to paintg my entire army from scratch. I paint things here and there. But, don't seem to have enough time in an day. But, my wife tells me she made an offer on a house today. Life is going to get a little more intresting for the next couple of months. We will see if I get anything done:p

I just starting doing some conversions myself. I find it really fun. My wife thinks I am insane to modify something so small. I do like painting. It is just the mass painting I have to do is the turnoff.

Hi!
Well, thats one ability more than I have. I've never attempted converting and have very little motivation to do so. I do enjoy other peoples work though, thats one of the main reasons I visit Jimbo's site, cool stuff there.

I don't know about you guys, but while I don't like the process of painting itself (let's face it, it's tedious to paint Epic infantry), I like the results and the experimentation.
For people that aren't born painters, I recommend learning the easy tricks of the painting impaired like washes and inks. They can make even the sloppiest painter's work look good (witness mine!). I save more adavanced techniques like shadows and blending for larger pieces and important vehicles.
I really do like the conversion end of things though. It's really fun to make unique models and plan out a conversion that noone else has done before. It's even cooler when someone else likes one of my conversions enough to do it themselves.
I really like building terrain too, The customization part makes each piece unique.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Oh, I am a terrain fiend. Some of you know that I have tried to peddle my wares. Terrain is a process I love.

Of all the modelling aspects, building terrain is my least favourite. I have yet to build something I'm proud of.
I enjoy painting (shock) but I am pretty slow at it. I like to take my time, and paint everything to a high standard (if possible ) but it means that my armies take a while to become fully painted. Even worse, I hate using unpainted minis, and try not to if possible. Even at the expense of using crapper units. And if I do use unpainted minis, they are always the first to die

Do you send them in first or do they just have a low moral because of their status. Anyway, terrain is my first love. Hell, I'll make you terrain if you want. I am a terrain junky. It's my wifes idea for me to sell the stuff. Although, I have given away way more than I have sold. I dig painting troops but, not by the thousands. Which I now have to do.

Well with my soon to be large Ork Horde, I'm glad I have a spray can of Dark Angels green. It should make it a little easier.
For terrain, I have a habit of buying it. Although I have took home from work a lot of materials. I plan on spending a weekend making nothing but terrain.
