Has anyone done one?

I've had a pile of Termites for a while and enough Moles to carry a company.  I put together a list of models I would need to do an IG tunneler army that should come out ~3500 points:

HQ in moles
A couple infantry Cos in Termites
Some arty and armor on the board, a few scouts and air cover

I wanted to put it together just for kicks, but this was a super-low priority.

However, I just won an Ebay auction that includes a Hellbore.  I'm thinking that with 4 Moles, 18-20 Termites and a Hellbore, it's practically a moral imperative to actually build a tunneler army.  Besides, it's the first IG stuff I've actually been excited about in... oh... just about forever.

So... any ideas?

I was thinking Termites ought to cost something like 5 points per model, roughly equal to Drop Pod costs.  It might be okay at lower points, since the IG are less effective per model than SMs and the areas allowed for deployment are more restrictive.  My gut tells me something around 50 points for an infantry company would be about right.

Of course, you don't have to buy a spacecraft, so perhaps cheaper than pods is not a good idea.

My bro occasionally uses Moles when using his IG army... 25pts to transport 4 bases of Storm Troopers.

As far as artillery goes, they should only be allowed Mole Mortars. :D

Personally, I would pick up some EW 'not Squats' and use Jaldons Squat for list which includes tunneller options.

It's what I did with my Squatachan IG, although I have yet to decide on which list to adopt... I probably never will.
I might even get some Notsquatachans to complement them, Notsquatchs for short. Sounds like a second cousin to bigfoot...  :p

As for a tunneler army list, why not? I'm a fan of minima-lists, which make for very specific forces which are probably hard to play, but great fun to collect, model and use in scenarios or as allies. I would LOVE to see a Ratling army list some day for Epic, but this is not the place for that. And I'd never get enough models anyway.  :(

The Demiurg list wil probably be your most balanced option, to be honest.  ePilgrim made it after playtesting the other Squat lists and finding them over the top.  While the fiction is not the direction GW wants to go with the Demiurg, the point costs and stats seem fair.
