Hello all,
Well, I have a BFG battle in two days. Since I want my Marine force to be completed before fielding it, I will go to the battle using my Imperial fleet. I have used similar fleets in two previous games so far, but I have been soundly beaten each time.
A newbie I am, hehe!
Well, this is why I wanted to ask for help from more experienced admirals.
In past games I found that I lacked ordinance and the enemy's ordinance numbers gave me a beating!
To cover that deficiency, I have decided to take a Mars as my flagship this time around (Apart from the fact that I love the model and I have an unused one still around ).
Let's see if you can spot any big holes in my fleet.
--------------------------------------
- Admiral. Ld 9, 1 reroll
- x1 Mars battlecruiser - x1 Dictator - x1 Dictator - x1 Dominator - x4 Swords - x3 Firestorms - x3 Firestorms - x3 Cobras
TOTAL: 1,495 points
--------------------------------------
I have 8 lances, 12 fighter/bomber squads and 18 torps, as well as 2 good batteries (Dictator and Swords) as well as 2 Nova Cannons. I do not rely very much on Nova cannons since I suck at guessing distances being a long time WHFB High Elf player who has never needed to be able to guess distances well. In fact, I would prefer not having them, but there is no option to take them out and get more torpedoes, so I will try to do my best here, hehe. ?
If some of my assumptions are wrong, please let me know about them.
I am still learning, you know!
Thanks in advance! Health and a lot of sixes, Xavi.
