I'm trying to get my IN in order, I've included the Vultures and Valks in that 'army' so there's a couple of Stormtrooper sections (1 painted) and also an infantry company (to be driven around in Hoplites). A kind of Elysium Lite if you like.

I managed to complete and send off photos of my entry for the Hasslefree sculpting competition.  Good thing the deadline is today, 'cos if I went on much longer my nerves would give out.

Would like to see your's ! :D

I thought I'd be able to point it out among the list of entries, but they went and extended the deadline by a week because of some ponces who couldn't wait a couple of minutes for the HF server to right itself.  After I had gone half-mad with panic and rushed through some bits to meet the deadline too.

I'm a tad irritated.  Can you tell?  But I might take the opportunity to smooth out those few bits.  If they'll accept it.

In the meantime, PM me so I can mail you the current photos.  I want to stay mostly anonymous during voting, so I don't want to post too much on a public forum. ;)

Staying with the mood of infuriation: Magister Militum continues to piss me off with their shoddy prehistoric merchandise and the stinking cloud of apathy and lazy acceptance that surrounds it.  Once more I'm spurred to pick up some half-forgotten sculpts and slap more putty on them.

And talking about half-forgotten sculpts (and leaving the hissy fit behind), I've also started to add more to the 'mech-mage'. ;)

Well, after having a dud session of the FoW group's normandy campaign (where I started an American Assault Company, E/16th RCT to be exact, which *still* needs to be painted) (d@mn this early work schedule!), I picked up the core of my Mid-war Desert Rats force:  6 Crusader IIs, 6 Crusader IIIs, 3 Grants, and half the artillery I need.  It's going to be interesting seeing how that mobile a force will fare against Jerry up the blue.

Also started the prototype 'Pred-kava', a 1/48th scale Academy Merk II getting transformed into a reasonable-looking variant of a Predator.

Also working on getting moved into a new place, closer to work (means I can sleep in longer), that has a second 'bedroom', spoken hobby area.

Finished the two APCs and the CAV.  Started on a couple of dune buggy type recon vehicles for CAV.  Also fixed up the aircraft model I entered in the ReaperCon painting competition and finished painting three trucks that I'd started a couple months ago.  More importantly though, I'll be working on packing and cleaning in preparation to return home after my 6 week exile in Arizona.

Edit: once I get settled back in at home I promise to show pictures, especially of the Andy infantry I painted out here.

I'm working on another Loot'd Ork AFV ... I took the Land Raider with the "Dorsal Fin" from the F/W T/Hawk, cut off the damn thing, and I'm mounting a cool Orkish or Squatish Turret. That I got in a trade. ?And I still have 2 Tzeentchi Titans to finish. I converted them from some OOP Azteca Mechas ... Plus some terrain pieces ... :D

I'm currently basecoating a 45 man US Marine Rifle Company (in 15mm) for Flashpoint Vietnam. ?Its the first painting Ive done for about a year and Im thoroughly enjoying it!

OK it took me 2 whole months, but they are finally ready - my first Vietnam unit, hot off the workbench!
Its a 15mm USMC Platoon, figs by Flashpoint Miniatures, and FOW (Pacific) bases by Batteeld Accessories. ?I'm really happy with the way they turned out, but my elephant grass leaves a lot to be desired.

What you can see is 3 rifle squads, each comprised by 3 four man fireteams and a squad HQ of 2 figs, plus a Platoon HQ of 3 figs.

I'll be posting individual closeups of each squad on my Vietnam blog very shortly http://firebasecoral.blogspot.com/
