Hey

I've bought about 2/3 of the models needed for this fleet but i'm working on it. I'm tryng to get 2000pts with some interchanchable parts.

3 Battlebarges
3 SM Strike Cruisers
2 GK Strike Cruiser
6 Gladius
9 or 12 Hunters
6 Novas
4 Escort Carriers

Possibility of the new Adeptus Mechanicus Ships, if rules allow, then 2 Cruisers and 4 LC's

Well, ideas?

Sounds good but the escort carriers aren't really needed given the rest of your fleet.

so you wouldnt suggest concentrating on lots of ordnance? When playing SM in small battles i find my Thunderhawks are just a few compared to enemy fighters and bombers...

Then again ive never played a game with more than 1 Battlebarge...if i change the 4 carriers with 10 or so Cobras? Added TORPEDO power...

good, bad?

I would take hunters or strike cruisers. In fact I prefer dauntlesses, but you seem to be going pure SM. I would do that because I do not really like escort carriers, but hey. If you want more ordnance without having to rely in escort carriers, go for the armageddon fleet and get a dictator or cardinal instead with regular ordnance.

Cheers,

Xavi

I see where you come from Xavi - i have an IN fleet, and trust me, it does have dauntlesses....and yes i am staying pure SM...in fact my escort carriers are scrathc built using Heavily modified hunters...the FW carriers are used in my IN Fleet...

Seeing as i've made 5 escort carriers..ill keep those and spend the money for the conversion materials for another GK Strike Cruiser, beautiful model...

I'd like a hint about how big my individual squadrons of escorts should be...

Cheers
