Not bad, Enderel. If it makes you feel any better, you're not alone in your obsession.

You actually have me beat in Squats. I have 4 Colossi, 2 Cyclopes, 2 Leviathans, 3 Land Trains, 9 Goliaths, about a dozen Gyrocopters, tons of Bikes, Trikes, Thudd Guns, Mole mortars, Infantry, etc, etc, for a total of a little over 20k points.

He beats me too!

Does it counts as an obsession acquiring stuff at this rate?

Nope. Only after you're, oh, about at Primarch's level.

Still, having two armies over the 20k mark makes you an apprentice primarch so welcome to the club!   :;):

Oooooh, what's a Behemoth?

Behemoth is a Net Epic unit. It has two railguns in a turret.  :cool:

to be honset i calculated the FULL ULtramarine stuff is composed of 11 Land Raiders 42 Rhinos 906 Marines , 23 Bikes, 1 Land Speedewr, 3 thunderhawks, 50Termies

10 dreddys.....these are all approximate...

LOL if only.. Would have made collecting the army so much easier  :;):

There was a very interesting discussion on the forums a while back in which TheRealChris was discussing what was required for a full chapter of marines.

Basically depending on what version of the Epic game you go by, there is way more than 1000 marines per chapter...

Second Edition

Term Co or Veteran's (50 - 100)
Battle Co's x 4 (100)
Tactical Co's x 2 (100)
Assault (100)
Dev (100)
Scout (75-90?)

So there is the 1000 marines straight away, so who drives the tanks (Predator Co's Land Raider Co's etc) the speeders etc.

Anyway there was a lot of discussion on it and I went for the top end of the scale, where only the marines in companies counted towards the 1000 limit, the rest were extra freebies..  :D

I've got around 50 land raiders assigned to the chapter for termies and armoured co's.  Around 30 pred's, similar numbers of vindies.

I've got support things like drop pods, thunderhawks, landing craft, speeders, bikes etc, where do they count?

Do you only get to field units which should make up other companies when not fielding that co? e.g. if fielding termie detachments then no termy company

All these should technically count towards the structure but it blows holes in GW's 1000 marine chapter fluff.

I suppose I could just go for a legion rather than chapter but I'd loose out on various post heresy weapons!

Thanks Mojarn, that makes me feel better.  I think I've got to a level where I don't need to much more Epic unless I'm starting a new army..

I really shouldn't do that though, although the Tau do look good..  :laugh:

I guess that officially makes me a Primarch apprentice. I have multiple armies which are over 20k points.

I've always wanted to be on The Apprentice.. No wait, that was somebody else.  I mean, I've always wanted to be an apprentice.

I started playing Epic March 2005 (almost two years!) and I had never played a table top game in my life.  I was a board gamer (Axis & Allies) and computer gamer (Starcraft anyone?).

A friend of mine had a large collection of Orks and Imperial Guard.  Butonce I saw the Eldar on the GW site (just recently put out) I knew I was hooked.  In the last 23 months I have collected or built:

20K+ Space Marines
20K+ Eldar
7K+ Orks
6K+ Tau (the big money drop here)
5K+ IG
6K+ NECRONS
Plus built (or started to build) other weird armies... Lugganath, Harlequin Grand Masque, Dark Eldar.

So you are in good company (I think we're good company anyway). :D

I've got 15-20k each of Marines, Guard, Orks, Eldar, Tyranids, plus about 10K Chaos.

Nothing wrong with that at all :)

Hena your not allowed to see Squats, that would be very bad...

We'd have to set the dachshunds on you if you did, either that or a bearded Squat woman!

At least I have a space suit. Lots of monkeys just walk around naked :;):

Mind you, even a space suit doesn't appear to be much of a sanity guarantee these days...

You know, I don't think I could crack 20K points with any of my forces...couldn't quite see the point given I've never played bigger than 10k points.  Of course, I have a lot of armies in the 6-15K range :)

Quick calculation:

Orks = 14K
Eldar = 15K  (bundling Knights and Exodites all in)
Squats = 11K
Tyranids = 12K
Chaos = 9K
Marines = 9K
IG = 9K
Slann = 6K
HoE = 5K

Looking at that, maybe I need to suppress the growing itch to go Necron :(

My Behemoth = a back to front, cut down Colossus chassis with a huge railgun turret off a Mechwarrior tank (Marksman).  Just recently pulled it apart again to see if it can be replicated :)

<10k IG

So here we come.

Although I've wondered if I should sell all that squat stuff away. i'm just too lazy to do anything about it :p.

If you do, be sure to contact me first.  I got the first dibs on your stuff!

I only tried to get numbers that large for Orks and Marines.  That way I can play Ork v. Ork or Marine v. Marine games.

Chaos may eventually get there, but only because I want to be able to repressent all 4 gods to some degree.
