If you're playing *actual* Blood Angels, yes, but we've used the list in "friendly" games just as a variant Marine list, without the Death Company.

I haven't seen a lot of Vindicator Detachments used, so didn't notice the loss.  They tend to act better as "upgrade" tanks, in my experience.

As to the other missing Detachments, well, I guess the designer felt they had to give up something to gain other options.

Just one question but shouldn't the Warhound have survived? When you shot at it first it would have 2 void shields. Therefore each Death Strike missile would take one shield down each. This is how I read the rules as hits are saved and any failed saves takes the DX damage.

Or am I misplaying the rules!

If a TK-weapon does, say 3 damage, then it would knock down both void shielda and does 1 DC damage on the warhound. The 2 Deathstrike missile shave a potential for 12 points of damage. Plenty do destroy the warhound.

I am very unexperienced with marines, and I was most of the game just moving around shooting everything. I think the combined termies/tac assault (which failed *grins*) was only "good idea" I had. I forgot that Hena didn?t have any bombers, so I wasted my Thunderbolts on turn 1.

Game was fun (no fearles warriors!!!!) and I learned few things.

Only thing I dont like about Blood Angels list is that you cant have Land Raider det. I want Land Raiders...

This was an enjoyable battle to watch. Although I didn't know at the time the IG were traitors.  :angry:  A Grey Knight task force has already been dispatched to bring the rebel commander known only as "Hena" in for "questioning".  :devil:

I'm not sure it plays that way. The only time the rules mention generating the number of hits is when a warengine is actually hit.

As each void shield gives the titan a perfrect invulnerable save each missile would only take down one shield. Or am I missreading the rules. Think a question on the SG site is in order.

Special rule 5.4.1 (Imperial Void Shields), second paragraph, p.102 of the E:A rulebook: Each void shield will automatically stop one point of damage and then go down.
(emphasis mine)

As it specifically mentions points of damage and not hits I think they played it just right.

Cool, that explains it. I thought void shields would have saved one HIT each not one POINT of damage.
