BFG news?

Yup, it's going to be promoted a little more along the lines of "If you have a Space Marine army... why not have a Space Marine fleet too?"

E&C, are you saying they are trying to merge the two systems with that last coment? And do you have any more to say about Titans from FW?

Cheers

No merger, just that the commonality between the two systems is likely to be pushed a little harder.

Almost nothing, we only briefly discussed them. I can tell you lots about the next 40k scale titan though... (A Reaver, modified Mars Pattern).

Chaos infantry sprue Feb 07, Nids Feb 08. ?

I can live with that if it actually happens.

Yeah, know what you mean.  At least someone at GW has SOME intention of releasing more Epic stuff.

Then... is that it?  ???

P.S. Thanks for the report Chaos and Evil!

I was hoping for daemons, which don't look likely, but at least there's the WM daemons if you like them extra large. Ah well. Not too bad.....

All the little daemons will likely still come on the sprues I imagine(?). I don't see why they would go to the effort of retooling the chaos sprue to remove the daemons if they aren't going to do anything else for Chaos at present.

The WM greater daemons are superb and more than perfect for Epic (given their stats in EA). To design more greater daemons just for epic would be redundant and a waste of resources IMO. They should just package the WM daemons in Epic boxes (or direct people to the WM range in the online store)  :D

My god, more noobs coming over and complaining about the fact Space Marines are NOT the strongest fleet in the game (in standard space battles).

Ah well, we can always convert the new players.

Chaos: February '07, but probably only the plastic sprue to be rereleased, as the metal molds are currently MIA!!!!

That means no new Titan, no bikers, no dreadnoughts, no chaos land raiders, nada but the plastics.

Does this seem like a really weak excuse to anyone else? To me, this sounds like 'we cant really be bothered to get this stuff out, so we will see how the plastics sell'. How can you 'miss' the all the metal molds for one entire force in one go?

Warseer has a pictures of existing EA aircraft for AI...

...and the Thunderhawk transporter!

A re-release of the E40k Chaos sprues is better than nothing, but I have to agree with the sentiment with the metal minis. It does sound like "let's see how well the plastic sells." However, given SG's release schedule, when (if ever) would they (re-)release the metal minis? I can't see them doing it "off-schedule."

Seemed a bit weak to me too.

The Transporter on the left had two resin Rhinos, the one on the right, a single resin LandRaider.

If anything gets released I will be happy.

As with many others I am starting from nothing on the Chaos point of view.

Well I look forward to the new aircraft releases and accompanying AFVs ... At lease that is a move in the right direction.  Even if we get another version of Raiders & Rhino ( we'll consider it as collateral damage !) ...  :D  Good pics & Intell, Boyz !  Thanks/Danke/Merci/etc.  :;):

Aah, but if they release just the sprues, then Chaos players will have to by and convert the Imperial vehicles.

Then, of course, GW can 'find' the Chaos moulds and sell more vehicles to the same players!  Cunning!

I don't really care about the metal missing.  I've always thought the "Imperial + lots of spiky bitz" looked pretty stupid, especially in epic scale where the spikes have to be ridiculously out of proportion in order to make it castable.

The daemon engines would be nice but the other stuff can take a flying leap for all I care.

Except those dreadnoughts, bikes & even the Titan looked funky. :(

Somehow I believe that the moulds have been lost. Chucked out sometime in one of their big cleanups, or just sitting in a dusty box forgotten somewhere...
