I thought so, but not for the reason that you think. The avatars (I dont think) have anything to do with the delay. The main Ikonboard web site was offline for a few days, and came back to the web yesterday. It appears that the boards connect to the main site to check for updates, etc. This will be changed with the next version so that it does not cause the trouble in the future.
