well i was reading a battle report buy stugmeister and in that the ultramarines had to hold a downed thunderhawk as one of their objectives.

Now i started think about how cool this was and i had a spare thunderhawk which had loads of bits missing.
So i thought i would have a go and make it for my objective marker.

have alook.

Its good... but... :) The scout are very out of scale with it. Terrain pieces work well as little dioramas so scale of bases around them aren't that much of an issue, but the models in it are (at least to my eyes).

Cool, I plan to do a similar thing for my Epic Fire Storm army. It's something that cries out to be done, isn't it! :D

yes i know the scouts are quite big compared to the other sm, but i'm not wasting any of my tactical squads :) i need every model.

Why not just leave the scouts off all together. If it is an objective, then there is not need for them. Let the troops in play become part of it. You have left a nice area for a stand on the back.

I like it, but I would take the two scouts off and not have them at all. :)

Pieces like this add a lot of character to the battlefield and give objectives some real meaning.

Cant wait to see it finished up!

They were only rare to those who wanted them. Some of us who disliked the mini dumped them as fast as we could. Traded many away for Terminators. Hated the scout mini.

Like the Scouts ... but as with most of Epic ... scale creep ! If you want to put SMs on the base ... use SM1- MK.6s ... they are the smallest. ?And I'm not a fan of the OBJs that E:A professes ... ?I love terrain, so if we need to ID an OBJ, we just put an SM2/TL OBJ Counter next to a structure, model, etc. ... Some of my favs are the Eldar Warp Gate, E40K Supply Point, a small Star Gate model I found, temple ruins, a Micro Machine STAR Trek/Wars Shuttle, Aircraft, etc. ... So I guess we're doing the same thing ... but different ! ? :;):
