Hi i need a bit of help decide on a 3k Titan legion army.

The only thing i am sure of is it must include an Emperor titan.

Its a bit low on activation, and im really unsure about the close combat reaver adn the spaceship.
Spaceship is for bombartment or pinpoint attack, im leaning towards pinpoint. I has to decide on this before a tornament, right?

i would take out the spaceship and take crusaders instead, with that few activations you need every ground unit you can get. A spaceship can neither contest or take objectives.

Also, i think you'll find it hard do play competitive with a list like this, but the emperor titan is cool so i wish you good luck! Make the mighty Omnissiah proud!

We have played a few games with Imperator, mainly as a Titan in an SM or IG army. It does drastically reduce you activations but if you do get in range of any units, they are done for. Most of the time it will break them with one round of shooting.

It has a massive fear factor. Most useful thing we have used it for is to find the sweet spot on the map which covers the most objectives and the potential march of the enemy and park it there on overwatch.

With the Imperator defense laser you can probably drop one of the thunderbolts too and use the points on a second crusader formation. You're still going to be hurting for activations and are going to have great difficulty with objectives since most folks will ignore your imperator and just wipe out the small stuff.

Vaaish is right. Opponents do tend to avoid them.

I've had moderate success running this:

Incompertus, 3000 POINTS
Legio Gryphonicus (NetEA v3.24 *APPROVED*)
==================================================

EMPEROR TITAN [1300]
Legate, warmonger Configuration

REAVER TITAN [625]
Laser Burner, 2 Gatling Blaster

WARHOUND TITAN [300]
Vulcan Megabolter, Turbo-laser Destructor

WARHOUND TITAN [275]
Vulcan Megabolter, Plasma Blastgun

CRUSADER SCOUT MANIPLE [150]
4 Crusader Robots

CRUSADER SCOUT MANIPLE [150]
4 Crusader Robots

SKITARII DEMI-CENTURY [200]
2 Secutor, 8 Hypaspists

7 activations which is the most you're are reasonably going to get. You already have the CAPs built into the imperator so I found taking the Demi-centry a no brainer, larger unit of infantry that can blitz guard. The imperator can cover AA quite well as ive found you cant be overly aggressive with the list. my wins have revolved around denying blits and BTS and using the emperor ( warmonger works better for this because of the doomstrike missles) to take out the opponents biggest formation. Use the reaver to harass and support your weaker formations. wait for an opening for the warhounds to make a break for an objective or two 3rd turn. Your scout maniples will die fast not much you can do about it but I like to place them to draw out my opponents formations for the emperor to obliterate. Can even switch one with a pair to Tbolts if you find your opponents play heavier air.

The suggestions with Crusader Robots sounds reasonable. However, if you are short on robots how about this:

Purely as a modeling exercise, if you're having trouble sourcing enough robots (and not wanting to get involved with 3rd patty lines) you could easily plunk down ogryns in a counts-as capacity. They're really plentiful and rarely seen in EA so should not cause much issue. If you wanted to explain it away you could say they're geneboosted or cybernetic and stick some bits on.
