Hey all, So wanna break out the guard for an upcoming tournament but lack of time to paint the infantry and buy chimeras to put them in has convinced me to run a tank legion. So with that in mind: LR coy, SC LR coy, Sallie cmd Basilisk coy Hydra batt Shadowsword Shadowsword Sallies Warhound Wastes enemies AA and AP entirely. Considering dropping hound for a pair of marauders and another sallie cmd. Thoughts and crits welcomed. Cheers, Ronin |

Not sure a basilisk coy can be considered a shortage of artillery, but I think they are very poor choices. Light on AA too from my point of view but that might depend on your meta game. 8 activations is not enough either so you need to do something about those 3 big companies. Warhounds are really good, I definitely would not drop that for an air formation when you've only got 8 in the first place. Thunderbolts can help with activations and they don't take support slots. |

Yeah I want manticores for the arty coy, but I dont have em. Really dont see the value of arty batts... How would I go about adding activations without losing my armoured coy or a sword?? Cheers for any direction. |

Cheers man. I understand the advantage of out activating an opponant, but I have also found a great advantage in being able to one hit break an opponant with 9 3+ shots from an across the board sustain. It can really mess with his ability to keep a plan together when theres a big danger zone covering most of the board. Same principle as the armoured coy but without the mobility or survivability, made up for with the ability to reach out further with very few things able to out reach me. Would you feel the same way about a manticore coy?? In my experiences with them, putting 5 blast markers on 3 enemy formations just for getting one guy under a template and then having it as a disrupt weapon on top of that is just brutal and will effectively halt that part of his battle line until they can get their lives sorted. I understand thats not always gonna be the situation presented, but it seems fairly common and helps to deliver great board control. Ill look at breaking up the bassies and fitting in another salamander formation. Cheers, Ronin |

9 basilisks, 9 shots. Ionno about that, Ive had plenty of times when my first activation has laid down pain on multiple formations. But I do get what your saying. Ill rework the list and revise my post. |

Bassies dont have to fire barrages, they can, and quite often a good idea to, blaze away with direct fire guns. |
