I am planning to build a LaD army with 3000 pts. I am little bit unexperienced wit E:A and I have a lot of ideas how I build the army but then I scrap the plan because I find some weak points. What would you think about an army with 6 upgraded coven, one Zombie unit and maybe some cheap other stuff to get some more activations? No demons and no expensive supports.
Regards,
Fred

I think it would do alright, but possibly lacking in some of the flavour Lost and the Damned have. I play mine as a traitor guard regiment, which is always an option?

I thought that the Mutants are good enough for a an assault? Also I would like to include a small mix of Big Mutants and Chaos Spawn. The problem with deamons is that in my opinion they are to expensive compared with some summoning risks. Now I think also to include a Slaanesh Questor and Daemon Knights and a Khorne Lord of Battle so there are only enough points left for 4 upgraded Covens. Is that OK?

I play my covens with a lot of big mutants in them, they have decent FF, and are good if I can get them into CC.

Mutants are pretty good, but the 6+ save is pretty worthless, and they do not have any ranged weaponry. I always try and make sure to include a few cultist stands in any mutant coven just to lay BM's or if/when I fail an activation.
