Hey there,

I am pretty bad concerning list desgin so I am trying to get some coments on this one:

9 Leman Russ, Vanquisher, Tank Squadron (3 Demolishers), Hydra

SENTINEL SQUADRON [100]
4 Sentinels

DEATHSTRIKE MISSILE BATTERY [200]
2 Deathstrike Missile Launchers

SUPER-HEAVY TANK PLATOON [200]
Shadowsword

THUNDERBOLT FIGHTERS [150]
2 Thunderbolts

THUNDERBOLT FIGHTERS [150]
2 Thunderbolts

ROUGH RIDER PLATOON [150]

I want to use this list at the weekend on a tournament, but I am not sure if I will be able to use the Thunderbolts and the Rough Riders since I want to use only painted models. And they are not painted. And I have to work Thursday and travvel Friday. Last minute painting chaos incoming :D

Anyway, my oponents will 4x Space Marines, Cult of Speed, Black Legion, Ulthwe, "normal" Orcs and 2x Steel Legions. I believe somebody said he wanted to take a Adeptus Mechanicus list, maybe even Titan list. This is nearly the list I used in the last tournament, but since that one the Warhound rose in cost so I can't use the old list ;)
I have other units in my posession but I am not sure which unit I shoud substitute. I don't have anymore chimeras, otherwise I would have tweaked the list a bit to get 2 mobile companies. Suggestions?

Looks pretty good activation-count wise. You may want to consider the following:
1) That's a lot of points to sink into a LR company. If you drop the demolishers, you could get another activation in there. If you drop them, you have enough points to replace the infantry company (which seems a little out of place as a non-mobile element) with a mech infantry company. nevermind, just reread the bit about no more chimeras
2) Perhaps replace basilisks with manticores
3) Increase the scout screen a little - if you go with russes, they're going to be terminator/teleporter bait

Of course, this is assuming you have the models and are willing to be flexible with the the painted models thing.

1) What unit do shall be added in your opinion?
2) Which Basilisks? I only have Manticores in the list?
3) I own 4 more Sentinels but I wont be able to finish them before the weekend since I am missing 4 bases to finish them.

I pulled a very long night/evening and painted from 5:30 pm to 2:10 am with 2 breaks, each about half an hour. And I couldn't finish the Thunderbolts nor the Rough Riders. Hopefully I can finish them Thursday evening. But at the moment (2:43 am) my head is spinning :( The "painted models only" is fixed since I am aiming at best painted army award (my tactical skills are rather lacking, better grab something else :P )

oops - sorry, I guess I saw basilisks for some reason. obviously I'm having difficulty paying attention to detail :P
I was vague about the additional units as I didn't know what you had on the painting block - looks like you're fairly set though due to the painting requirement. Deathstrikes may be a waste if you only have one possible AMTL opponent. Drop them and the demolishers and you can dump 400 pts into a rather strong infantry company with upgrades. Otherwise, I got nothin'
