I've had literally dozens of requests from customers as to when the TMG range will be available to order so i've started a poll to see what I should do.

I cannot at this time give a definitive date as to availability but mid November is my best guess at present. It could be sooner it could be later it's all down to the casters ability to supply and how busy they are.

Please keep an eye on my site for the latest news on this subject.

Cheers John

Why not? empower your customers. It's a preorder with a big fat caveat. Can't deal with that? then good, wait.

I was also about to ask when you would be taking preorders. :)

Hi!

Having done hobby retail, I can see little downside to this other than waiting.

If people are patient they can get stuff, which is far better than get nothing at all.

I hear what your saying guys I will leave the poll running over the weekend and take it from there.

My main worry with the amount of requests i've had is that i'm going to be out of stock of most items fairly soon after launch. I have limited stock due to cash restraints, the number of items in both ranges 150 combined has meant that I can afford to purchase only low numbers of each model.

It will take me some time to build up good levels of all items in both ranges so there are going to be times when many items are out of stock for a period of time whilst i'm waiting on a resupply. This is something i'd like to have avoided but without unlimited cash i'm afraid it will happen from time to time.

As primarch has stated if people are patient they will get their stuff it's all a matter of time.

Pre-orders of Onslaught models has pick up nicely this last week which has given me enough money to re-order several low stock items for that range, maybe the same can be done with TMG's models.

Thoughts?

Hi moredakka.

I'm going to be blunt here. If you're asking if I want pre-orders then I would have a huge caveat to that.

My recent kickstarter experience with TMG was ok. The models were great. However I had been told before signing up to the indy page that I would be able to add stuff to my order from his shop so I could have indy stuff AND add on some store stuff to the same postage cost. I was also moving house. So I wanted to be in touch in case postage circumstances changed.

I tried getting in touch to add to my order 5 times(through different means) and never heard a thing.

If you have great communication and you allow additions to the pre-order from current stock then I think this is a good idea and something people would use. Otherwise I think this is a bad idea, and could negatively affect your business.

All that said, I'm voting yes in your poll now that I've mentioned my caveat.

@ bertnernie, I hear what your saying sir and I can't respond to any problems you've had withTMG but if you are to make an order on my site why not just wait until you know exactly what you want and make one order instead of adding to an existing order all the time. The website makes all calculations on shipping and the like automatically so it's a little awkward trying to update an existing order with additions. In fact the only real way to do it is to cancel the order and submit a new one. I think you can see it's not as easy as it should be to play around with existing orders.

The site will hold all TMG models with stock levels shown once I have the goods to hand. I will be happy to hold items back for customers whilst they plan their purchases.

*This is in no way a complaint against you or Vanguard, I look forward to shopping with you in the future.*

I'm the sole mopey git who voted no. ;)

I'll buy some of those shiny nova marine dudes off you dakka, when they are in stock. (was intending to buy them on the kickstarter then forgot …)
Not placing a pre order for anything with TMG connected to it at present though, sorry.
Too much negative stuff going on that way … too little communication too late. Same reason I didn't order from EW in the last couple of years.

Would stock move direct from the casters to you, or via TMG?

Stock is going direct to Vanguard with no involvement from us.

@ Apoc, mate I understand your concerns this is the reason I've kept TMG's range out of stock and unable to be ordered. The time taken to get my onslaught stock meant a lot of waiting for customers who pre-ordered and I didn't want to same situation with the TMG range hence the poll.

As Ben has stated the casters will be shipping direct to me once the order can be completely filled.

Cheers

Well it looks like as yes for pre-orders of TMG so I will start opening items up over the coming week.

Thanks for your response.
I hope my message didn't offend you or Ben. I know he has had a tough time of it, and I wasn't trying to focus on the bad, since the stuff he is good at (the minis) he is very good at.

I suppose that my issue is far less likely when kickstarters are not in the mix.

I also appreciate that you are willing to hold items back for customers. That should help a lot.

Bert
